I almost forgot what day it was! I was all excited to get my post up tonight, and realized I can do it NOW! So here it is, I’m typing away at the end of my lunch break. Here is The Holo Hookup December 2016 Hollywood Bombshells!

Darling Diva Polish joins The Holo Hookup this month, and the theme is Hollywood Bombshells! Below is the inspiration photo

Each maker took on one of these icon bombshells’ image to recreate it in polish form.

Quick rundown for those new to The Holo Hookup!

This is an all holographic box and each month it will have 3 constant indie makers in it – Glisten & Glow, DIFFERENT dimension and Cupcake Polish. Each month there will also be one “guest” contributor, and for December 2016 the guest is Darling Diva Polish!

Let’s jump right in

Cupcake Polish – Grace

Cupcake Polish took on Grace Kelly for her Hollywood Bombshell! Grace is a metallic, deep silver (almost gunmetal) linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

DIFFERENT dimension – Audrey

DIFFERENT dimension took on Audrey Hepburn as her Hollywood Bombshell! Audrey is a hot pink linear holographic polish with added shimmers and microglitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Glisten & Glow – Mae

Glisten & Glow took on Mae West as her Hollywood Bombshell! Mae is a black linear holographic with red and purple shimmer as well as silver galaxy glitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Darling Diva Polish – Vivien

Darling Diva Polish took on Vivien Leigh as her Hollywood Bombshell! Vivien is a medium burgundy jelly based holographic with gold shimmer and gold holo sparks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The Holo Hookup December 2016 Hollywood Bombshells Overview

I’ve been showing you The Holo Hookup now for over a year (it started in November of 2015!) and each month I love the themes they come up with, because they aren’t always super typical. It’s fun to see the chosen theme and each makers interpretation of it. While I might have the polishes in hand for months (I think I received these ones back in August?) I won’t see the inspiration photos until a couple weeks before I do these posts.

When I first opened this package, 3 of the shades I immediately knew their inspiration. Grace, Mae and Vivien were fairly expected without having seen the photo that inspired it. Audrey really threw me because I wouldn’t associate hot pink with her. Once I saw the photo being used, it clicked. I do like this months inspiration and the interpretations were lovely.

Oh and as a teaser – I already have the next 3 or 4 months of The Holo Hookup in hand.

AHHH! I love those. Metallic polishes have always been a favorite of mine, and I love these colors combined with that look.

Gosh! You have gorgeous nails! I really want to try Cupcake. Since I'm up there in age, I really try to stay away from very dark polish, but I love that it looks like sparkly platinum.
