The Holo Hookup August 2017 Enchanted Forest

I have been so excited to share the Holo Hookup August 2017 Enchanted Forest! I did my swatches for it over a month ago and had to keep all hush hush, which is HARD!

This month’s theme is Enchanted Forest and instead of 4 individual photos, they all based their polish off elements of one photo to work with.

How adorable! So from this photo they each came up with a shade

As always, I’ll do a quick rundown for those new to The Holo Hookup!

This is an all holographic box and each month it will have 3 constant indie makers in it – Glisten & GlowDIFFERENT dimension and Cupcake Polish. Each month there will also be one “guest” contributor, and for August 2017 the guest maker is Tonic Nail Polish

Of course we’re familiar with Tonic around here (and I actually have some new shades from her to share soon!)

Let’s see what they have in store for us!

Cupcake Polish – Field of Flowers

Cupcake Polish Field of Flowers is a medium pinkish lavender super linear holographic polish with blue shimmers. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Different Dimension – Enchant-mint

DIFFERENT dimension Enchant-mint is a misty light blue with minty qualities that has a linear holographic with additional shimmers and holographic microglitters to enhance the sparkle! I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Glisten & Glow – Fairy’s Tryst

Glisten & Glow Fairy’s Tryst is a stunning silver linear holographic with golden green shimmer mixed in, as well as silver holo microglitters. This shade is SUPER holo and possibly my favorite Glisten & Glow to date. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Tonic Polish – Dryad’s Grove

Tonic Polish Dryad’s Grove is an incredible forest green linear holographic with maroon shimmer that shifts to gold, as well as ultra holographic microglitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The Holo Hookup August 2017 Enchanted Forest Overview

You seriously do NOT want to miss this box. All 4 makers pulled out their A game for this baby and I love the concept of all 4 pulling inspiration from different elements of one photo. The mix of shades in this box ranges from pale and airy to dark and mysterious. All 4 have a shimmer element too that elevates each shade.

Definitely a must have box.

Price: $40.00

Hi Lisa, great swatches and photos as usual. Could you tell me how removal was on the ones with micro glitters?

The microglitters didn’t make much of a difference since they are more sparsely packed into the polish. I didn’t notice any difficulty at all

I love a good holo in the summer. The fairy theme is just icing on the cake.

I adore that tonic! I feel like I don’t see enough forest green polish!

I’m in the fence about this box because I’m supposed to be on a no/low buy, but your swatches are making it so hard to resist.

One of these days I’m going to order a box. I’ve been drooling over them since the very first one. This just might be my first purchase after seeing your swatches.

How does Enchant-mint compare to Essie Udon Know Me, +/-bluer+/- greener?

Udon Know Me is slightly darker and dustier blue in comparison.
