Guest Post: My Nail Polish Obsession Holo, Glitter & Stamping Manicure

by Lisa Heath

Hello there!  I’m Jen from My Nail Polish Obsession and I’m so happy to contribute a guest post to Cosmetic Sanctuary.  I have followed Cosmetic Sanctuary for a long time and always look to her for beautiful swatches from my favorite indie and mainstream brands.  Lisa always has color accurate pictures and turns out her posts like a machine!  Clearly we all know how hard she works to share beautiful nail polish with the world, but everyone deserves a little break now and then right?  I hope she’s enjoying her time off and here’s my effort to fill her big (and sparkly) shoes!

I wanted to do something fun, flashy, beachy and vacationy for my guest post and this is what I came up with.  Holo, glitter and stamping made for a nice combination on this mani.  You can’t tell that it’s a skittlette but my thumb matched my index finger so it was.  I used 2 coats of Color Club Halo-Graphic on my thumb and index, a gorgeous bright pink linear holo.  On my pinky is 2 coats of Color Club Blue Heaven, another fabulous linear holo in the most perfect shade of blue.  The Color Club holos are some of the most intense holos I have ever used and the formula on them is perfection.  I used both of the holos to stamp a tropical flower over the off white Bettina Marshmallow (3 coats of Marshmallow used).  Look how awesome these holos stamp, I was amazed!  And lastly to bring in some bling I tried out the new Revlon Seychelle Sands from the Haute Rocks Collection, a set of glitter texture polishes.  I found that Seychelle Sands built up nicely on it’s own in 3 coats.  I had no issue with the formula or application and really enjoyed the sparkle.  I did end up top coating it because I feel glitter texture is not as nice as the sandy textures.

Well I hope you enjoyed my mani!  I had a great time putting it together for you.  If you did like it and want to check out my other work head on over to my Blog, Facebook page or Instagram account to see what else I put on my nails!
