GlitterDaze is at it again and has a beautiful collection releasing on October 23rd! This collection is the Back To Rad collection and brings back so many memories from my teenage years! The collection is named Back To Rad and consists of 13 shades – mostly cremes! GlitterDaze threw together a nice palette of colors to play with and some glitters to add some sparkle.
Let’s take a look! Under each photo I’ll give the inspiration behind the polish name (for those who may not know… but I’m sure it will spark memories for a lot of you!)
Away Message
Inspired by all those late night chat sessions on AIM, and using song lyrics as your away message to let all your friends know how you felt!
Away Message is a cool toned heather purple crème. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Boombox
Inspired by eardrum busting jam sessions we all had in our bedrooms, whether it was to Britney, BSB, or Nirvana!
Boombox is a deep black jelly loaded with silver holographic shimmers and glitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Bomb Dot Com
Inspired by the ultimate catch phrase of the 90s!
Bomb Dot Com is a chocolate brown crème shade. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Dip Baby Dip
Inspired by the fun and flirty song Tootsie Roll by 69 Boyz.
Dip Baby Dip is a lavender toned pink creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Freak Of Nature
Inspired by our favorite “diss” from the 90s!
Freak Of Nature is a darkened moss green crème. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Grunge
Inspired by gloomy days, nirvana, and flannel shirts.
Grunge is a darkened grey toned purple crème shade. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Heroin Chic
Inspired by the androgynous runway trends of the 90s.
Heroin Chic is a shimmery topper filled with platinum flakes, holographic shimmer, and micro holographic flakes. I used 1 coat of Heroin Chic over Away Message for these photos.
Lewinsky
Inspired by one of the biggest scandals of the time, yeah – you know the one.
Lewinsky is a cranberry red crème. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Mom Jeans
Inspired by an unfortunate fashion trend usually donned by moms.
Mom Jeans is an ironically beautiful azure blue crème shade. It’s actually got a touch more purple in person but my camera was dead set on making it more blue. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
No Duh
Inspired by sarcasm, eye rolling, and a general sense of superiority.
No Duh is a dark magenta crème shade. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Spice Up Your Life
Inspired by the ultimate girl band of the 90’s, the Spice Girls. Won’t even lie. I was stuck in traffic on the way home and listened to Spice Girls as a pick me up.
Spice Up Your Life is a berry pink crème shade. This is more ‘berry’ in person, but for some reason my camera wouldn’t pick it up as well. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Y2K
Inspired by the beginning of the new millennium!
Y2K is a gold sparkly polish filled with holographic silver shimmer, and multicolored color shifting flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
You’ve Got Mail
Inspired by the rise of technology, quick communication, and globalization.
You’ve Got Mail is a dark slate blue crème polish. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
GlitterDaze Back To Rad Collection Overview
I loved the names selected for the shades within this collection. The cremes applied beautifully and will make amazing base colors for nail art and glitter for the entire Fall season. I like that the focus was mainly on cremes, but GlitterDaze added in some glitters for fun.
Price: $10.00 Cremes | $12.00 Glitter/Shimmers
