Girly Bits Cosmic Ocean, Shift Happens & Street Magic Swatches & Review

I have 3 oldies but goodies from Girly Bits to show you tonight… her 3 shade shifter top coats!  These are actually part of her Core Line, and have been for a few years now.

These 3 shades look best over darker colors to really show their gorgeous shifts, but I decided to also layer it over a sheer white shade to show them as well.

Before we get to the polishes, I wanted to show what base colors I used.

Girly Bits January Morning

For all of the swatches over a lighter base, I used another Girly Bits classic… January Morning.  A beautiful sheer white jelly base with gorgeous iridescent shimmer within.  I used 3 coats of January Morning for each photo where it is used.

Zoya Dovima

I used Zoya Dovima as a base for all of the photos over a black base.  I used 2 coats of Dovima for each photo.  You will see more of Dovima in an upcoming Zoya Matte Velvets review.

Shade Shifter over Dovima

Shift Happens is a sheer purple to red to golden orange shifting top coat.  I used 1 coat over Dovima.

Shift Happens over January Morning

Shift Happens over January Morning adds a nice wash of red and gold shimmer to the white base.  Very delicate feel to it.

Street Magic over Dovima

Street Magic is a sheer green to bronze shimmer shifting top coat.  I used 1 coat over Zoya Dovima for these photos.

Street Magic over January Morning

I really liked the look of Street Magic over January Morning.  It added a nice golden shimmer to it and a sheer wash of green.

Cosmic Ocean over Zoya Dovima

Cosmic Ocean is a sheer violet to blue to green shimmery shifting top coat.  This is probably my favorite of the 3.  I used 1 coat over Dovima.

Cosmic Ocean over January Morning

I loved this combo together.  Cosmic Ocean over January Morning adds a light wash of blue over the white jelly base.  I used 1 coat over January Morning.

Overview

All 3 of these are beautiful and are great to transition shades both light and dark.  Not everyone likes applying glitters to spruce up a mani, so these are perfect alternatives.  All 3 applied beautifully and will be used a LOT from me.
