I have an eco friendly subscription box that is fairly new to me.
The theme for June was a patriotic box and included a card explaining this:
Let’s go through each item in the box now!
I’m going to start this with the one item I can’t use… because I don’t have a dog. This is an organic dog shampoo that softens dry skin, removes grit, smooths the texture of the hair while alleviating pain from sores, scrapes and insect bites.
Price: $12.00 for 6 oz
This stuff is awesome! Lavender Cuticle Oil by Whooty Hoot Creations is a nice cuticle oil with a burst of lavender. I’ve been using this at night on my cuticles and they look amazing!
Price: $5.29 for 5 ml
Lime Coconut Lip Balm by Molly Rose was my favorite item in the pack. This is a zesty lime with a hint of coconut that is made with 100% vegan and organic ingredients. Gives great moisture to dry, cracked lips.
Price: $5.00
Creaseless hair ties are something that so many people have been raving about but they don’t stay in my hair! They don’t break or anything, I just can’t get them to wrap enough in my hair to keep them fairly tight. They just start slipping down within minutes and then I pull them out. I usually give these to my coworkers kids because they work really well in their hair.
Price: 8.00 for a set of 6
Amazing Meal Packet in the flavor Vanilla Chai Infusion is YUMMY. I mixed this packet with almond milk and it tasted a little like oatmeal. Each packet contains your daily serving of fruits and veggies!
Pressed Eye Shadow by Lauren Brooke had great pigmentation and is made with all natural ingredients such as jojoba, broccoli seed, and orange peel wax. The application was silky and I’ll have it in it’s own review soon!
Price: $12.00
Natural Sun SPF 30 Green Tea Antioxidant by Aubrey Organics is an intensive, protective formula with an antioxidant blend of sunscreen to protect damage and fights the aging effects of sun exposure. It’s water resistant for 40 minutes too!
Price: $15.95 for 4 oz
Overview
I’m really torn on this box. There were some nice items in it for me like the cuticle oil, eyeshadow and Amazing Meal Packet… but at the same time there were items I won’t use like the dog shampoo and hair tie. When I do sub boxes I like them to be closer related in items, like a makeup sub box or food sub box, that way I have an idea of what I’m getting. However, if you are looking for an eco friendly box and like getting surprise items that are eco friendly then this certainly is a good box for you. I just don’t feel it’s a perfect fit for me, but it was definitely an interesting box to get with more items in it than most sub boxes I have received.
Price: $15.00 a month
