Tonight I have 7 gorgeous multichrome polishes to show you from Doctor Lacquer! These shades all make up the Fall 2014 collection.
If you have ever tried to photograph multichromes, then you know that it’s very hard to capture all the gorgeous shifts, so trust me when I say that these photos are only a glimpse of how gorgeous these are in person.
You can layer these shades over a black polish (or any shade really) but I did all 7 swatches of the polishes on their own so you can see what they look like that way. I used 3 thin coats for all of the photos below.
Let’s take a look!
The Head Of The Sky
The Head of the Sky shifts from red to copper to green to cyan. This was my favorite of the bunch because the shift was so strong and was so easy to capture. I loved it!
The Bosom Of The Sea
The Bosom Of The Sea has a cyan to blue to purple and then a subtle copper shift.
The Smoke That Thunders
The Smoke That Thunders has a cyan to blue to violet to red shift.
The Volcano On A Cornfield
The Volcano On A Cornfield has a gorgeous gold to olive green to medium green shift.
The Dance Of The Spirits
The Dance of the Spirits has a green to blue to violet to red shift.
The World of The Coral Sea
The World of the Coral Sea has an olive to green to cyan to blue shift. Another stunning shade and I love the rich green hues!
The Trail of Time
The Trail Of Time looks really close to The Dance of the Spirits, but there are subtle differences, and in person the shades are more obvious in their differences. This is a cyan to violet to red to copper shift.
Overview
All 7 shades are beautiful. I love the shifts and how strong they are in each one. I used only 3 thin coats of each shade for each photo and still was able to achieve a gorgeous look without using a base coat. Multi chromes are fun to play with over darker colors though, and these shades are thin enough that you can achieve a whole new shade if you were to layer them over deeper creme polishes (black, purple, blue, etc)
I had no application issues, but some of the shades have visible brush strokes.
