Dazzle Dry 3 Piece Nail System & Polish Swatches and Review
I have officially found my HG nail Prep, Base and Top Coat. My mother has been converted as well. This is a WAY overdue blog post, but I was doing a test on the longevity of the Dazzle Dry 3 Piece Nail System.
Dazzle Dry sent the 3 Piece Nail System, a Dazzle Dry Nail Lacquer as well as one of their Texture Polishes for me to play with and review.
I’m going to kick this off with the Nail Lacquer I was sent and finish off with the 3 Piece Nail System so I have more room to gush about it! Be prepared!
Dazzle Dry Passionate Red is a gorgeous deep vampy red. Passionate Red dries to a semi matte finish which I loved, because unlike most other matte or semi matte polishes I have used, I didn’t have to rush to cover the nail before it started drying. I covered the nail and saw a glossy vampy polish. Within a minute it was almost fully dry and more mattified, but still had a gloss-like look to it. Below is the photo swatch. My top 2 fingers are JUST Passionate Red, the bottom 2 have Dazzle Dry Top Coat. I used 2 coats in this photo. When the polish is dry, it feels like silk! So smooth, but not glossy smooth! As you can see though, it was a little streaky.
I also received Silver Lace Texture polish. I’m not a huge shatter fan, I only have 3 “shatters” in my collection and 2 are still unopened. I did like Dazzle Dry Silver Lace Texture, but I didn’t love it (personal preference though). First thing I noticed about Silver Lace was that I didn’t have to rush putting this on. One thing that turned me off to Shatter or Texture type polishes is that I have rush through it and generally screw it up because I’m not fast enough. I had plenty of time to go over any missed or thinner areas without the brush tugging at areas I already went over.
Now, the BEST Base and Top coat I have ever used and will continue to use (and I know a lot of you have seen me suggest it to people on my Facebook page!) Dazzle Dry 3 Piece Nail System.
As you can see, the Top Coat has had a lot of use.
Alright, to start this 3 Piece Nail System comes with a Nail Prep, a “sticky” Base Coat as well as a Top Coat. The base and top coats are both fast dry (which I love). To use these, you start off by prepping your nails with Nail Prep (I guess you probably figured that out before I typed it though) and use a cotton ball to swipe Nail Prep over your nails. This helps remove oils and such off your nails to give them a clean base to start on. Now, lay down the base coat. This is a sticky base, and the first one I have used. It honestly feels like I put those adhesive stickers for press on nails on. Apply a nail lacquer and then the Top Coat! Viola, your manicure is done!
My mom was my test subject for this project. I have been using these as well, but I love changing my color regularly, so I recruited my mom for this! Even she said I was never allowed to use another Base/Top coat on her again. Ever. I went through each step on her mani and waited for her to tell me they chipped. That day didn’t come until two and a half weeks later. That’s a pretty good amount of time for a mani, especially when her nails usually chip within 5-7 days!
The best part? Her nails remained glossy and gorgeous the ENTIRE time! The top coat never dulled!
Dazzle Dry Nail Lacquers retail for $9.00 and each bottle contains .5 fl oz
Dazzle Dry 3 Piece Nail System retails for $28.50
