CND – Creative Nail Designs Nail Lacquer and SolarOil Reviews and Swatches

Whether fingers or toes, nails are fashion—the perfect accessory to an outfit or that subtle flash of indulgence defining a personal look. Our formulas allow professionals to consistently create nails that are unique and expressive.

Due to some things going on at home, I took a slight rest from updating.  Getting back into the swing of things, I decided to start off by reviewing CND – Creative Nail Designs Nail Lacquer and SolarOil.  CND is a 3-Free Nail Lacquer company (free of Toluene, formaldehyde and DBP)!  CND sent me 3 products to review and I can’t wait to show them to you!  Let’s get things started!

SolarOil is a cuticle and nail oil made from an exclusive blend of four naturally light oils which penetrate the skin’s pores while sealing in valuable moisture.  SolarOil contains Jojoba, Vitamin E, Rice Bran and Sweet Almond oils.  I have been using SolarOil on my cuticles and nails for a few days now, and so far so good.  You can REALLY smell the Almond oil in this stuff and it smells PHENOMENAL.  Almost makes me wish I could eat it… absolutely divine!   I applied SolarOil to my nails and cuticles and let it sit for a few minutes and then massaged it into the nail.  Leaves my nails soft and yummy smelling!  SolarOil is considered a “Manicure in a Bottle!”

I have two Nail Lacquers from CND from their Colour & Effect range to review as well, and this is my first experience with CND!  CND offers a full spectrum palette of 50 (!) creme colors including sheer, semi-sheer and opaque neutrals, pinks, darks and brights pus 3 pure chromes in gold, silver and copper.  They also offer 15  “Effects” in sheer hues of three textures – Pearl, Shimmer and Sparkle to liven up their creme colors or to wear alone!

Eclectic Purple is AMAZING.  My favorite of the two I was sent.  I’m a purple polish lover too, so I may be a little biased on the color (but seriously, its gorgeous).  Eclectic Purple is a gorgeous medium purple creme!  Eclectic Purple applied beautifully, no streaks, the brush spread over my nail easily and dry time was about 3-4 minutes per coat.  Eclectic Purple was fully opaque in two coats.  It was almost completely opaque in one coat, but two was PERFECT!  This is also a good color for designs.  The pigmentation and consistency of the nail lacquer is thick enough to cover other colors without altering the Eclectic Purple!

The second color I received is Silver Chrome.  Silver Chrome was a little more difficult to apply compared to Eclectic Purple, but I always expect that out of metallic finish nail lacquers.  Silver Chrome is pretty much exactly what the name implies – a true metallic silver.  Much like Eclectic Purple, the pigmentation was amazing.  Complete opaqueness in 2 coats.  The brush spread over the nail and was easy to apply, but the polish wanted to pool a bit in my cuticles.  Like most metallic polishes, you can also see some light brush strokes when all is said and done.  Dry time on each coat was about 4 minutes.  This is also a good color for designs and stamping!

The shape of the bottles for CND Nail Lacquer was adorable.  The bottles are ergonomically designed so that its easy and comfortable to hold.  CND bottles are rounded for the most part, but then the back is completely flat.  The bristles on the brush are clear, triangular-shaped nylon bristles and the application is perfect with the brushes.  Easy to control and manuever and spreads out enough to cover the full nail in two strokes.

CND Nail Lacquers and Treatments are available through CND.com.

I’m impressed, I have to say. Really rarely do I encounter a weblog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me inform you, you’ve gotten hit the nail on the head. Your idea is outstanding; the issue is one thing that not enough people are talking intelligently about. I’m very comfortable that I stumbled throughout this in my search for something regarding this.
