China Glaze Pop Top Collection Swatches & Review

China Glaze is releasing an 8 piece collection that brings back some favorite glitter toppers, as well as 2 creme bases!  You will probably recognize most of these shades from previous collections, and I recall them being quite fun and popular when they first released.

White on White

Let’s kick this off with a classic white creme!  White on White is your essential white creme polish.  I used 2 coats for these photos.  I had mild self leveling issues, but overall it’s a good white.

Heart of Africa

Heart of Africa is a deep wine red shade with a gorgeous shimmer that almost gives it a metallic appearance.  I used 2 coats for these photos and application was flawless.

I Pink I Can

I Pink I Can is originally from the Pink of Me Collection.  This is a pale pink and rose pink mix of hex glitters in a clear base.  I used 1 coat over China Glaze Lotus Begin.

Luxe And Lush

Luxe and Lush was originally released with the Hunger Games collection a few years ago!  This is an iridescent flake shred top coat.  I used 1 coat over Heart of Africa.  While I like this one, you have to be careful while applying.  Like most shreds, some may stick up and you can either pluck them off the nail or manipulate a bit to lay them flat.

Techno

Techno is a silver holographic top coat with both small and micro glitters.  I used 1 coat of Techno over China Glaze Grass Is Lime Greener.  I love this combo for summer and Techno is a staple top coat!

Pizzazz

Pizzazz is a multicolored glitter top coat with small hex glitters.  It’s a party in a bottle!  Pizzazz made an appearance in the Holiday Joy 2012 collection! I used 1 coat over China Glaze White on White.

Your Present Required

Your Present Required is fairly recent!  This one was in the Happy HoliGlaze 2013 Collection.  I actually purchased 2 bottles of this when it released last year because I loved it so much, and now I have 3!  I used 1 coat of Your Present Required over China Glaze At Vase Value.

Fairy Dust

I saved the best for last.  Fairy Dust is a glitter topper that everyone needs.  Even if you aren’t a glitter fan, you will probably still love this one.  Fairy Dust is a clear base with silver holographic micro glitter.  It’s incredibly fine and isn’t a pain to remove.  I used 1 coat over a gradient of China Glaze At Vase Value and Lotus Begin!

Overview

As I said, all of these shades have been seen before and China Glaze brought them all together in the Pop Top collection!  My top picks?  Fairy Dust, Techno and Your Present Required.

Price: $7.50 Each or in a 4 piece set for $19.95

It is so disappointing when these big name brands re-release these polishes when they have been released and are still readily available online and in store. =/
