China Glaze Halloween 2014 Apocalypse of Color Swatches & Review

Press Sample

It’s almost Halloween and I have yet another Halloween collection to show you. The China Glaze Halloween 2014 collection is named the Apocalypse of Color and consists of 6 polishes, one of which is the glow in the dark shade, Ghoulish Glow.

Let’s take a look

But Of Corpse

But Of Corpse is a matte green shade with a light texture to it and small black glitters floating about.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

I Love Your Guts

I Love Your Guts is similar to But Of Corpse, but a reddish pink version of it.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

Don’t Let The Dead Bite

Don’t Let The Dead Bite is a milky nude, sheer jelly base with metallic red glitters mixed in.  I used 3 thin coats for these photos and a glossy top coat.

Rest In Pieces

Rest In Pieces is the only glitter top coat in the set.  This is a clear base with holographic gold and bronze glitters as well as matte black glitters.  I used 1 coat over China Glaze One Track Mind.

Getting To Gnaw You

Getting to Gnaw You is a black base with bronzey brown glitters mixed in.  I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ghoulish Glow

Ghoulish Glow is back in this Halloween collection as the glow in the dark topper.  While I got it to glow… it didn’t want to let the camera pick it up.  As you can see the bottle glows in the images below, but on the nails? It did faintly in person, but not enough to pick up on the camera.  I used 1 coat over China Glaze Life Is Beautiful.

Overview

One thing I have to give China Glaze credit for – they made a Halloween collection with a real Halloween feel to it.  I’m even shocking myself a little here, but my favorite of the 6 was But Of Corpse and I Love Your Guts, and when I first got the bottles I was sure they would be my least favorite.
