butter LONDON Colour Clash Collection Pimms & Wellies Swatches and Review

butter LONDON has released their Fall Collection (that’s right, the bright colors you are about to see are for Fall!) and these are polishes with bright pops of color!  I was rather surprised when I first saw the images for the Colour Clash Collection!  I was expecting deep reds and browns, but I was wrong.  Can’t say I’m disappointed either!  Bright colors are usually my favorites so this was a nice change from the usual!

I received Pimms and Wellies to review and although these may not have been my first choices when seeing the collection, I’m actually glad I got them.  I am not a yellow and green girl by any means, but both are so bright and fun on the nail, they made me love them!

Pimms:

Pimms is an alcoholic drink traditionally mixed by the British with lemonade, pieces of fruit like strawberries, apples and oranges, cucumber and fresh mint. It’s commonly drunk in summer.

I like adding little pieces I find to explain what some of the butter LONDON names mean!

Pimms is a bright sunflower yellow creme.  Very bright and its actually a yellow that works with my skin!  I used 2 coats and they applied like a dream!  Topped it off with a glossy top coat!

Wellies:

Wellies is the shortened version of Wellington Boots, named after the Duke of Wellington. Called galoshes in America.

Wellies is the color that blew me away!  It is described on the butter LONDON site as being a Grass Green Creme, but I disagree!  This is a gorgeous bright lime green with strong yellow tones.  I used 3 thin coats for Wellies.  The first 2 coats gave some streaking, but the third evened everything out.  Topped this off with a glossy top coat and it was perfect!

I really need to pick up Cake Hole!  I’ve been eyeing that beauty for awhile!

Cake Hole: An opaque, nearly neon pink crème nail lacquer

Cotton Buds: An opaque, pure white crème.

Giddy Kipper: Opaque, indigo shimmer

Silly Billy: Opaque, fire orange crème.
