Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer March 2017 Releases

I think I got more swatching done this weekend than I have in quite awhile. I actually would have gotten more done, but I play World of Warcraft and we raid on weekends for 3 hours each night… so that stalled me a little bit. I got 38 polishes done yesterday and 20 Friday night. Hoping to get another 20 done tonight.

Anyways… enough about me, I know what you really came here for – the Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer March 2017 releases!

This post has 3 sets of new polishes in it. A new collection is releasing called We Saw The Stars, 2 new Siren shades (yay!) and 3 The Indie Shop Atlanta shades. There will be a Destination Duo out later this month with Top Shelf Lacquer as well, so I might have that later this month to share with you.

In total this post will cover 17 polishes. I know I said 18 in the Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer fan page on Facebook, but apparently I can’t count.

Ok we’ll look at the new collection first, then move onto the Siren shades and then Indie Shop shades (and I have more Indie Shop Atlanta shades from other brands to share with you shortly too!)

Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer We Saw The Stars Collection & Sirens

We Saw The Stars Collection is a 12 piece collection  It has a variety of finishes from holo to shimmer to cremes, plus a top coat that doubles as a stand alone. I’m honestly not sure if it was created as a top coat or a stand alone, but I’m showing it both ways.

When The Nights Grow Cold

When The Nights Grow Cold is a pale aqua leaning mint crelly with clear holo microglitters and indigo to purple to red shifting shimmers.  I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

To Dawn From Dusk

To Dawn From Dusk is a navy jelly base with red to gold to green shifting microglitters, clear holo microglitters, copper shimmer and red microflakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Set Me On Fire In The Evening

Set Me On Fire In The Evening is a bright warm toned red creme. I used 2 easy coats, but this actually is a one coat wonder if you do thicker coats. Even with my thin coats, it was almost at full opacity in just 1.

I also forgot to do a macro. But it’s a creme, so no big loss.

In The Dawning Light

In The Dawning Light is a blue leaning purple crelly base with red to gold to green shifting shimmer. The shift was really difficult to see and capture, so mainly it does look like a red shimmer mixed in, but at certain angles you do get a hint of a shift.

I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Won’t Sleep Again

Won’t Sleep Again is described as an “off black” creme. It doesn’t look like a straight black (when compared to a black creme) so that’s a pretty good description. Almost like a super deep charcoal grey that’s SO CLOSE to being black, but isn’t.

I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Starlight In The Gloom

Starlight In The Gloom is a clear base packed with gold to green to blue shifting microglitters, as well as silver and gold holographic microglitters. It’s very densely packed, but can be used alone (shown is 3 coats and top coat) or 1 coat over another color. I show it a few photos lower over Won’t Sleep Again.

The microglitters are super fine, so there isn’t much of a texture to it when used alone and 1 coat of top coat seemed to smooth it out just perfectly.

Starlight In The Gloom over Won’t Sleep Again

The Night Tears Us Loose

The Night Tears Us Loose is a green leaning deep teal creme based linear holographic with red to gold shifting shimmer. This one is truly a stunner in person. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I swatched this without base coat (I know… I’m living on the edge over here) and I didn’t experience any staining.

Kiss Your Cheek and Goodnight

Kiss Your Cheek and Goodnight is a dusty cedar creme. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Broke Away From the Atmosphere

Broke Away From the Atmosphere is a hot pink crelly with a very light scattered holographic effect and is packed with cyan to blue to red shifting shimmers. The shimmers overtake the holo, so you definitely don’t catch the holo as much. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The Stars are Crystal Lights

The Stars are Crystal Lights is a bright, medium periwinkle crelly base with gold shimmer and purple and red microflakes mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Edge of the World

Edge Of The World is a yellow leaning vibrant green crelly packed with gold to green to blue shifting microglitters and rainbow iridescent microflakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Split the Night

Split the Night is a pewter silver metallic base with scattered holographic and pink to violet to red to copper chromatic shifting shimmers. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Very minimal brush strokes can be found, but really not bad for a metallicy shade.

Siren’s Fever Dream

Siren’s Fever Dream is warm toned red jelly base packed with gold shimmer, gold flakes, rose gold flakes, neon pink to blue shifting flakes, gold holographic microglitters and red to gold to green shifting microglitters. This is an encore Siren released in February. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The Siren’s a Callin’

The Siren’s a Callin’ is a beautiful shade. A meanie to photograph, but still a beautiful shade. This is a navy blue with silver holo microglitter and fine turquoise shimmer, aqua shimmer and turquoise glass flecks.

This is an Encore Siren Shade and a new member to the ‘It Got Away From Me, Yeah…’ Doctor Who Collection.

When I said it was a meanie to photograph, it’s because the turquoise shimmer is much more prominent in person, but the navy overpowered the turquoise in my photos. It’s visible here, but so much more obvious in person.

2 coats and top coat for these photos.

Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer Indie Shop Atlanta Exclusives

The final 3 shades I’m showing you are Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer Indie Shop Atlanta Exclusive shades. As far as my notes tell me, since these are “exclusives” they will NOT be available in the BEGL shop. Maybe if there are leftovers, but these will only be available at the event.

To keep up with whether they will be available, I do suggest joining the BEGL fan group on Facebook.

For anyone interested in attending the Atlanta Indie Shop, they can purchase tickets at www.theindieshop.eventbrite.com, and general admission is currently free!

Elfdan Thrall

Elfdan Thrall is a deep mossy green jelly base packed with green, orange, blue, red to gold to green, and lime shifting iridescent glitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Name genesis: Scandinavian fairy tale about fairy rings.

The Cedar Forest

The Cedar Forest is a dusty cedar creme with red to gold to green chromatic shifting shimmers. This is a shimmery version of Kiss Your Cheek and Goodnight.

I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Name genesis: Gilgamesh

These Be Rubies, Fairy Favors

These Be Rubies, Fairy Favors is a deep red scattered holographic with midnight red flakes. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I am in LOVE with this shade and it’s my favorite of the 3 exclusives.
