Beauty Box 5 Subscription Box Reveal and Review

I am ALWAYS on the hunt for new and exciting monthly subscription boxes.  I currently have a few that I get and I love the element of surprise when they come in!  Subscription boxes are a great way to try out new products you typically wouldn’t purchase or that you’ve never heard of.

I received my first Beauty Box 5 sub box earlier this month.  Basically it comes with 5 sample and deluxe sample items to try out for $12.00 per month.  Lets see what I got!

Here are the 5 items.  Below I will run through each item and we’ll total up the value!

Be A Bombshell Lip Gloss in Taupeless

Be A Bombshell Lip Gloss in Taupeless is a full size item I received.  This has a doe foot applicator and was surprisingly well pigmented for a lip gloss.  It went on smooth and had decent staying power (for a gloss).

Model Co Black Eyeliner

Another full sized item I received was a Model Co black eyeliner.  I can never have enough black eyeliner, so I was happy with it.  It comes with a built in sharpener in the cap and it’s an ok eyeliner.  Not my favorite, but not the worst I’ve used.

Jean Pierre Oil Absorbing Facial Tissues

I have oily skin, so I like to keep Oil Absorbing Tissues in my purse at all times, so this was a welcome item!  This small packet (really it can fit in your pocket) comes with 50 3.3″ x 2.1″ tissues which will last me about 2-3 months typically.

Retail Price: $4.00

CoolWay Shampoo and Conditioner 

I actually loved the shampoo and conditioner from CoolWay!  Extremely hydrating and my hair felt great after using it.  May need to hunt down full sized bottles now!

Retail Price:  I received a 1oz sample of each product, but full size price is $19.99 each (or $29.98 for both)

Overview

This isn’t a bad subscription box.  I actually can and will use everything I received.  The only item I’m “meh” about is the Model Co eyeliner only because lasting power just wasn’t there.  Lower lid usage is a no go since it started smudging shortly after applying it.  Upper lid wore fairly well though.  Everything else is a welcome addition to my cosmetic family.
