Battling Hormonal Breakouts With Zapzyt

When I was younger, I longed for the days when my skin would be clear and I could be carefree about it. I’m now 35 and that day still has not come. In fact, it got a little worse as I got older. After having my son, it took a complete nosedive. My hormones went out of whack and the battle began. I’ve never had really bad acne, just those problem spots that pop up. But when they pop up, it’s bad. That one pimple is red, angry and HURTS.

I have PCOS, so my hormones are already whacky and hard to read. But my symptoms for PMS are pretty dead on, so I know when my skin is going to act out. That’s when I pull out Zapzyt.

Pimples get really frustrating. I never had clusters of them or anything, but like I said, I get the one angry red one that pops up and is hard to hide. Concealer, color correctors, thicker foundations.. they all come out to play to cover it up. But then it’s like a rippling effect. Adding on the layers causes other areas to start acting out. Once the initial one is gone, 2 or 3 have taken up residence in surrounding areas.  My current skincare keeps my skin looking nice, but it isn’t equipped or designed to handle my hormone changes!

My main focus? Getting rid of that initial pimple quickly before it spreads. I don’t want to have to use extra products and I don’t want to change up all of my current skincare for that time of the month when my hormones go crazy and my skin follows suit. That’s one of the things I loved about Zapzyt.

Zapzyt doesn’t require me to change up my entire routine. It’s meant to work WITH my current routine. So you aren’t swapping out everything and replacing. I simple use Zapzyt’s products when my skin is freaking out and then when it calms down I can go back to my regular schedule.

I start with Zapzyt Acne Wash. This is simply a cleanser. When you feel the change coming on (I can usually feel the pimple a day or two before it makes it’s official appearance) I start to use this. It contains Salicylic Acid, aloe and chamomile so my skin gets effective acne fighters plus smoothing ingredients to calm down any possible redness.

Zapzyt Pore Cleansing Scrub is the muscle in the set up. This is the powerful exfoliator that gets deep in your pores to clean them out. It has 2% Salicylic Acid as well as natural wax microbeads to help exfoliate and remove buildup.

Zapzyt Pore Treatment Gel is a treatment gel that minimizes pores so they don’t collect dirt and gunk that turn into little blackheads. Perfect for around my nose area where this tends to happen. I can also use this with my normal routine to keep my pores in check.

Zapzyt Spot Treatment Gel is probably my must have product of the bunch. When I feel a zit coming on, I apply a spot of this to the problem area and can neutralize the issue before it pops up. This is especially good for important events to help prevent a pimple disaster.

For 3 weeks a month, my current skincare routine works for me. But that one week, everything goes haywire and Zapzyt steps in.  I can incorporate the treatments with my normal routine as needed, then bring out the cleanser and scrub for when they are needed most.

You can find Zapzyt now at your local Walmart. If you have hormonal breakouts or problem areas during stressful times, you might want to give it a try.

I need to get this for me and my daughter. She’s just coming into the zit age, and I STILL get breakouts from time to time.

Oh man, I am SO WITH YOU on the post-partum skin changes!! I never had terrible acne as a teen, just linked to hormonal changes… and it’s still like that, but it’s 100x worse now that I’ve gone through pregnancy! So unfair, damnit! I’ve started using these products and I think I went a little too crazy at first because a few patches of my skin got really dried out but I’ve scaled back to a more appropriate use and I think it’s helping a lot! I’m definitely going to recommend these to people who deal with frustrating breakouts!

I have used Zapzyt in the past. It dried my face out too much and wasn’t effective. I had to end up getting script.

I’m in my early 30s and I still experience what I refer as teenage skin. I could definitely use something like this to keep the acne at bay!

I’m 33 and still break out like a teenager around that time of the month. I’d love to try Zapzyt because I tend to pick at my acne and that leaves horrible scars.

Sadly acne can happen to us any time our hormones get out of sync. It’s nice to know that there’s something that works WITH instead of in place of.

[…] About 6 months ago I introduced you to Zapzyt on my blog. Zapzyt is a line that isn’t meant to replace your skincare, but rather to work in conjunction WITH your current skincare during the more hormonal times. Basically when you feel the PMS come on, start implementing the Zapzyt line to keep it in check. Then when the time has passed, go back to your normal routine. […]
