Anise 2012 Fall Collection Urban Angel Swatches and Review
The Anise Fall 2012 “Urban Angel” collection offers deep, earthy, nocturnal colors. From sophisticated grey, down-to-earth brown, to rich passionate red.
Cold blooded. This Fall, designers are into dark, scaly animals. Anise is also hooked on that cool, reptile look with shimmer cold grey “Lux Leather” and with black cream sprinkled silver dust “Killer Heels”.
Join the army. Military chic is here to stay. Anise loves to look tough in raisin brown “Hidden Identity” and khaki brown “Secret Stash.” If being an army officer is your style, Anise can adorn you in gold button shade “Your Inner Tiger” or in bronze medal “Wildcat.”
Thirsty for some wine? Burgundy is the new black! Anise’s deep luscious berry red “Some Kind of Kiss” is begging for Fall to come early. It’s time to begin planning for a Fall harvest party.
I have the Anise Urban Angel collection to show you all today! This collection consists of 12 polishes that are 6 Free as well as Vegan! As always, Anise has a collection of well pigmented, vivid colors! I had absolutely no application issues with any of these polishes!
Ready to see some swatches?
Snakeskin Deep:
Snakeskin Deep is a deep graphite grey with a ton of gold shimmer throughout. The finish is almost metallic but not exactly, it’s just all the shimmer packed into this polish. Really pretty! 2 coats were used for this mani!
Smoldering Eyes:
Smoldering Eyes is light grey with a silver shimmer. Flawless application on this one. I only needed 2 coats for this color as well, but I probably could have gotten away with just one coat!
Smokeshow:
Smokeshow is the darker sister to Smoldering Eyes. Dark grey with silver shimmer. Between the 2, I prefer this one. Gorgeous and dark!
Money To Burn:
Money to Burn is a favorite of mine! Beautiful deep teal metallic! I’ve had this for a little over a week and already put it on 3 times. Like most metallics you can see hints of brush stroke, but really nothing too bad. Love!
Deep Attraction:
Another favorite! Gorgeous deep purple metallic! I really don’t have to say more.. this was just perfect!
Lux Leather:
Lux Leather is medium grey with silver shimmer. Another flawless application!
Killer Heels:
Killer Heels is very similar to Snakeskin Deep – instead of gold shimmer, this one is packed with silver shimmer! I needed to move fairly quick applying this one, it wanted to dry really fast on me! Only needed 2 coats for this!
Hidden Identity:
Hidden Identity is a glossy purple tinted brown. In different lighting it either looks more brown or looks more purple – very pretty! This only needed 2 coats for full opacity!
Some Kind of Kiss:
LOVE THIS PURPLE! Deep and vampy! I really only needed 1 coat, but I put on 2 just in case. Gorgeous and glossy!
Wildcat:
Wildcat is a beautiful metallic copper. This one dazzles in the sunlight!
Total Temptress:
I saved my absolute favorites for last… of course they are both purples… but that’s beside the point. Total Temptress is a dusty grayed out lavendar with reddish violet shimmer throughout. I LOVE these types of polishes. The shimmer isn’t loud and in your face, but still noticeable. I used 2 coats for this and it dried to a nice glossy finish!
Wee Hours:
Now here is my favorite! Wee Hours! Phenomenal purple with fine blue shimmer throughout. I thought the color in the bottle was beautiful, but it looked even better on. Wow!
The entire Anise Nail Fashion line is free of Toulene, DBP, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor. Not only that, they do absolutely NO animal testing! Anise has been certified by both PETA and the Leaping Bunny Organization in recognition of their cruelty free position! Anise Nail Fashion also has a 100% Vegetarian Ingredient Policy!
All of these colors are available at your local DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) for $6.00 per bottle (each bottle is .5 fl oz). That’s it! Amazing quality nail polishes for a reasonable price! Not only that but they are ALWAYS Buy One Get One 50% off ! You could walk out with 2 gorgeous polishes for less than $10.00! Anise doesn’t generally stock warehouses with their polish because they want to guarantee freshness and quality in every bottle. Not too many polish companies can say that. So you are getting a really good bang for your buck at $6.00 considering it is a 6 Free, cruelty free polish with top notch ingredients!
