Zoya NYFW Zang Tao Trio Swatches

I have the NYFW Zang Tao Trio to show you ladies tonight!  Here is a little about the collection from the Zoya website!

We are very honored to work this season with the highly talented and personally delightful Zang Toi to create the nail looks for the Spring-Summer 2013 collection.

The Spring 2013 collection was inspired by a recent visit to the French Riviera and the nail pallet features three custom “Ice Princess” shades in subtle mettalic hues of lilac, pink and yellow.  Each of the colors have an icy french tip featuring Zoya in Trixie. The colors are named to honor Zang’s personal muses Julie, Gei Gei and Piaf.

I am so glad I didn’t hesitate on purchasing these!  I’ve hesitated on Zoya Trios in the past and completely missed out, this year I was determined!  Even though I know Zoya has re-released past colors in trios, I didn’t want to wait.  I’m impatient!  Trixie was included in the package, but tonight I just wanted to focus on these 3!

Here we go!

Julie:

Julie is described as a full coverage icy cool lilac with a micro diamond particle ice princess.  It’s a shade of purple so of course this was my #1 of the group!  Perfect for Spring!  I used 2 coats for this mani.  The shimmer in this is beautiful!

Gei Gei:

This was my second favorite of the 3.  Such a princess pink!  Gei Gei is described as a full coverage icy pink micro diamond particle ice princess!  I used 2 coats for this mani as well and the coverage was fantastic!

Piaf:

I didn’t know what to think of Piaf.  Yellow doesn’t suit me, but this one is pretty!  It isn’t bright, but it certainly isn’t dull either.  I really think it’s the shimmer in it that makes this more wearable for me!  Piaf is described as a full coverage icy micro diamond yellow ice princess.   Love!  I used 3 coats for this mani!

I’m so glad I didn’t wait for this collection and it was worth every penny for me!  I do know that they will most likely be released again in the Spring, but again, I couldn’t hold off just in case!  These are beautiful, “airy”, girly girl colors!  Perfect for me!

That’s it for tonight!  Unfortunately the Zang Tao Trio sold out really fast, so it isn’t available at this time  If they release in the future, you can bet I’ll pick up backups of each color!

Zoya Nail Polish retails for $8.00 per bottle and can be found at the Zoya Website

Love the colors! And the name of the pink shade is actually Gei Gei.

I had a 50/50 shot – but the bottom of the polish bottle actually spells it Gie Gie while the site says Gei Gei.

Yeah, mine definitely does. I stared at the 2 spellings last night thinking “I’ve seen typos on the site, but also on bottles… which do I pick?”

Just looked, mine says Gie Gie as well. I posted a question about the name on Zoya’s FB just now too.
