Sunny’s Body Products Spooky Halloween Box Review

by Lisa Heath

Press Sample

Just last month I showed you the Sunny’s Body Products Summer Exclusive Box and it was an absolute hit!  It was the first body product seasonal box Sunny had created and she sold out.

For Halloween she put together a Spooky Halloween Box which launched last Friday … and sold out quick!  But don’t worry – tomorrow she will be restocking the Halloween box again, so if you missed it last week – now is your chance because I have no doubt it will sell out again.

Don’t know much about the Seasonal & Holiday Boxes Sunny creates?  Well, each box will contain 6 items that will have limited edition seasonal scents.  So while Sunny does carry an amazing selection for scents (well over 100), the scents within these boxes will ONLY be available in each box and never in the shop.

Let’s look at the 6 items in the Spooky Halloween Box.

Sunny’s Lip Saver in Kiss Of Death

Lip Balm

This lip balm glides onto the lips without being too thick or too thin and is fairly long lasting.  The Kiss Of Death scent is a scary blend of punch that closely resembles hawaiian punch.  And by closely resembles… it’s pretty much dead on!

Miracle Balm in Bite Me

Miracle Balm

Sunny’s Miracle Balm is a super intensive cuticle balm, but can also be used on dry patches of skin like elbows and knees.  I use this after huge polish sessions as an overnight treatment to help my cuticles recover.

The scent Bite Me contains fresh notes of lime and orange sparkle with highlights as they lead to a luscious blend of berry and cherry in a playful scent. Leafy green accents add intensity along with a base of sweet vanilla.

Hand Cream in Poison Pie

Hand Cream

I knew this would happen with a product in one of these boxes, I just didn’t think it would happen so soon.  Poison Pie is drool worthy.  It smells so incredibly yummy and I will never be able to order other Sunny products in this scent.  That just makes me sad.  I guess I’ll have to savor this one and hope it lasts.

Poison Pie has the aroma of freshly picked blueberries, fresh cut granny smith apples, smothered in butter, cream, and cinnamon, with a background of fresh baked crust. This fragrance is to die for!

Hand Scrub in Tricks & Treats

Hand Scrub

This hand scrub will get a lot of use this Fall and Winter to help my dry skin!  I just use a little bit to scrub away that top layer of dead skin and make way for soft and smooth skin.

The scent Tricks & Treats begins with top notes of pumpkin, persimmon, and apple; followed by middle notes of blueberries, elderberries, currants, orange and cinnamon; and well rounded with base notes of sugar cane and vanilla.

It also comes with a small disposable spoon for easy use!

Cuticle Oil in Werewolf

Cuticle Oil

I think almost everyone knows about Sunny’s cuticle oils at this point.  They are perfection.  They come in easy to carry glass rollerball containers for easy application on the go.

Werewolf is an interesting scent with fresh citrus highlights around the floral heart of lavender and ylang in this sensuous blend. An earthy signature of patchouli and spiced wood leads to a base of warm animal tones. Leather and musk balance with balsamic undertones as hints of powdery vanilla complete the blend.

Intensive Therapy Oil in Boogie Man

Intensive CUticle repair

Are your cuticles acting up more than normal?  Or you’ve been abusing them more than normal?  If regular cuticle oil isn’t doing the job then you need to switch it up and try the intensive cuticle oil!

Boogie Man begins with notes of geranium, bergamot, and rich Indian spices; well rounded with notes of amber, woods, and musk.

This actually reminded me of a nice unisex scent!

Overview

All of the scents within the box smelled divine and are exclusive to the Spooky Halloween Box, so on the bright side, you get exclusive scents… but if you happen to fall in love with the scents (hello Poison Pie), you may have to bug Sunny to see if she has anything close to them.  Luckily her products last a long time (a little goes a long way with all of them) so it will be a bit before you have to beg.

Price: $22.00 per box (remember these are seasonal, not monthly)

Where To Buy: 365 Days Of Color Website

The price of this box is amazing.  Only $22.00 and you receive 4 full size items and 2 one ounce sized items – valuing over $30.00 easily.  The scents are exclusive and you get a seasonal pick me up!

I loved this box so much… I ordered an extra one last week to give away to one of my readers!

My favorite holiday is Valentine’s Day. All cheesiness aside, I love chocolate, romance, and getting presents. I love all the red and pink. I also have fond memories of giving/receiving Valentine cards when I was in elementary school.

Vivian September 19, 2014 - 9:28 am

I always loved the idea of Halloween as a holiday (as I adore all things spooky) but unfortunately Australia doesn’t really celebrate it much at all…so I guess my favourite would be Christmas? Although we don’t get a White Christmas, my friends and family would always meet up for a summer picnic to celebrate and I always loved Secret Santa as a kid :D

Georgia Karantani September 19, 2014 - 11:15 am

My favorite holiday is Christmas cause I love seeing my family and the cold weather!!!!!!!!

Susan Gualtier September 19, 2014 - 11:43 am

Halloween, because I love all the costumes, makeup, and fall activities. It’s also the pagan new year. I live near New Orleans, which has the most incredible Halloween celebrations in the world!

Shalon September 19, 2014 - 12:35 pm

I’m not a big holiday fan anymore. I used to really enjoy Christmas but not so much anymore.

My favorite holiday has always been 4th of July. I love the weather, the BBQs, and I LOVE fireworks. My husband also proposed to me after the Navy Pier fireworks, so more love for the day.

nomoreillusion September 19, 2014 - 6:00 pm

I love Christmas…everything about it! Family and friends…the weather…decorations…and most people are at their best! :)

Carolyn Short September 19, 2014 - 6:22 pm

I don`t have a favourite holiday. There are things I like about each one. Mostly I like experiencing what other people like most about different holidays. My step-brother and his family go all out with their Halloween themed decorations starting weeks in advance. My husband never gets worked up about Christmas until the last couple of days and then he`s like a kid.

Jaci September 19, 2014 - 6:32 pm

Christmas! I love how the whole family comes together to celebrate. I also like 4th of July- fireworks, cook outs, family gatherings then too :)

jo lam September 19, 2014 - 10:03 pm

My fav holiday is xmas when I watch my kids unwrapping gifts with the big smiles and my family are altogether happy and safe.

Kate L September 20, 2014 - 12:23 am

Halloween is my favorite holiday! I love dressing up, and eating candy, and I adore having a reason to celebrate as we head into the darkest part of the year. I like getting spooked, I like decorating and acting like a big kid. Halloween is great, and it’s even better now that I have a kid to share it with.

Lindsay Sugarskull September 20, 2014 - 5:58 am

Halloween of course! Loved it since I was a child; costumes, candy, parties. This year I’m having a Halloween wedding :)

Adrienne Haupt September 20, 2014 - 11:46 am

I would have to say Christmas. I have 3 young sons, so all of their anticipation & excitement leading up to Christmas morning is so fun to watch!

Stephanie Webster September 20, 2014 - 1:26 pm

Fall scents are my favorite, especially spicy scents, or amber/musk ones, so I’m very interested in Boogie Man. I’d love to have a cuticle oil that smells like those things.

Stephanie Webster September 20, 2014 - 1:29 pm

Oh, and I forgot to answer the giveaway question, oops! My favorite holiday is Christmas. I love the lights and decorations, and music, and how happy it makes people.

Codi September 21, 2014 - 9:43 am

I don’t know if I should be mad at you or thanking you. I saw this post and since I’m a sucker for Halloween anything, I bought the box. And it’s amazing. I love it all. So now I’m addicted to 365’s hand care stuff. So thanks? ;) :P

Hollie H September 28, 2014 - 6:57 am

I am a Halloween girl all the way. I love mixing up vintage, gothic and a bit of spookiness to create our own haunted house. The scents of this season help set the mood and Sunny’s goodies sound amazing! Thanks for the chance.
