Scruples White Tea Shampoo & Conditioner Review & Giveaway

More hair care on the blog tonight!  I have a huge post coming up soon too because I have a new hair color!  But when taking care of a new hair color, especially when you do your own hair dye at home… you need to find proper shampoos and conditioners to take care of your hair after.

I tried Scruples White Tea Shampoo and Conditioner and WOW!  I am absolutely blown away!  And they are Sulfate Free!

Sulfate free shampoos and conditioners have become quite popular over the last couple of years. I have always had mixed feelings on it though.  I like the idea of them, but usually they make my hair a tangled mess and my hair feels like straw after.  I have used some that weren’t too bad, but the majority were.

I tested out Scruples White Tea Shampoo and Conditioner, and overall I liked the scent (light but refreshing!) and my hair didn’t feel like straw after my shower.  It actually felt really nice.  I could run my hands through without getting my fingers caught. but it still had that ‘squeaky clean’ feel to it.  Those who have used sulfate free products know what feel I’m talking about!

*gasp* I’m now a redhead and no makeup on in the photo!

One thing I really like that I noticed after using Scruples is that my hair has a little weight to it without feeling plastered down.  I didn’t get a huge sample of it (2 oz each) so I can’t say long term how my hair did with it, but the few times I did use it, I really liked it and my hair reacted well to it.

Price: $20.99 Each for a 20 oz bottle

Sulfate Free is a must and preferably something that contains Keratin – I’m constantly coloring my hair at home and other shampoos just strip the color out so fast. I currently use the Suave Keratin Infused line & I’ve been very happy with it so far.

Va-va-voom! You look fantastic! I don’t need much in a shampoo, but my conditioners have to be rich and add a lot of moisture to my hair. I like my hair to have minimal tangles when I’m done, too, so ‘slip’ is very nice.

I’m a redhead, too, and it is soooooo difficult to maintain. I only wash my hair every 4-5 days with sulfate-free shampoo/conditioner. The hardest part is staying out of the sun or wearing a hat, lol!

I love for a conditioner to rinse away light and not leave my hair feeling oily and weighed down!

Reply
Ashleigh August 13, 2014 - 1:20 pm

The biggest thing for me is, will it weigh down my hair? I don’t blow dry my hair after I wash it and cheap shampoos and conditioners make it look dirty after it air dries. Thanks for doing this giveaway!

I have curly hair that easily gets tangled up and is a pain in general. I look for shampoo and conditioners that work to make my hair manageable. The bad part is, you don’t know whats going to work until you try it!
