Savvy Naturalista Mani Mochi & Mega Mochi Review

I am so excited to finally be physically able to do this review! Shortly after receiving these 3 Mani Mochis and a Mega Mochi from Savvy Naturalista I came down with a cold/flu and couldn’t smell anything. As of about Thursday I finally had a sense of smell back so I took each one out and was smelling them (they are seriously yummy smelling!) and got a chance to use them.

Ok you might have some questions. First off – What is a mani mochi? It’s a mani scrub for your hands, made of a thick paste with lots of salt, sugar, butters and gentle cleansers. No need for messy jars and oily scrubs to get your hands nice and soft. Mani scrub is perfect for all those looking for an alternative to oily messy hand scrubs in a jar.

Second – What is Mega mochi? Same idea as a mani mochi, but it’s a full body scrub for your body, made of a thick paste with lots of salt, sugar, butters and gentle cleansers.

I’m going to jump right in and start with the Mega Mochi to review, then move onto the Mani Mochis

Mega Mochi in Cranberry Kisses

The Mega Mochi is larger than the mani mochi’s because they are meant for full body. They are about the size of my palm. As a full body scrub, I was really happy about this because I was able to take this into the shower and use it all over without digging into a pot and possibly dripping excess water into it. I cut it into 4 pieces and set a piece onto the shower ledge for use when ready.

This worked as an excellent exfoliator and my skin felt amazing after. My boyfriend even said I was super soft! And the scent lingered for a bit after.

Cranberry Kisses is a limited scent and is described as being a mix of fresh cranberries and juicy tangy velvet plums. It’s a nice combo with a sharp tangy scent and a soft fruity edge. I’m getting ready to buy more once this post is completed.

Now onto the Mani Mochi’s!

Mani Mochi in Taste The Rainbow

Mani Mochi’s work just like Mega Mochi’s but smaller for hands. I cut mine into 4 pieces but like a little more scrub, so for future ones I’ll cut into 3. I got my hands wet in the sink and then took a piece and gently rubbed it between my hands to form a paste, and then I continued to massage it into my hands until both hands were covered, front and back. I generally cover to the base of my wrists.

Taste The Rainbow is scented with fresh citrus notes of lime and orange. This didn’t have the sharpness that some citrus scents can have, it was a mellower citrus scent.

So far this is the only one I’ve used, so the remaining 2 Mani Mochi’s will have the scent descriptions, but they are used the same way as this one was.

Mani Mochi in The Siren’s Drink

The Siren’s Drink is scented with a sweet citrus blend of pineapple, grapefruit and orange. Much like Taste The Rainbow, the citrus kick on this is mellowed out so it doesn’t have the sharp edge.

Mani Mochi in Love Shack

Love Shack is scented with oranges, pineapples, bananas and coconut. This is my next one to use because the scent is really amazing.

Savvy Naturalista Mani Mochi & Mega Mochi Overview

Overview

These Mochi’s are really well done. I love that the scents are on the stronger side, but the sharpness associated with ones like the citrus are mellowed out, so even non citrus lovers could actually enjoy them too. Price wise they are incredibly reasonable. The Mani Mochi’s range between $1.55-$1.75 and can be cut into 3-4 uses, and even when cutting it into 3 it comes out to about 58 cents per use. That’s not a bad deal.

Another thing I really liked about these are that they don’t break down when wet and crumble easily. It turns into an easy to use paste. I’ve used similar products in the past and they didn’t have enough oils or something to them and they crumbled easy and I lost half the scrub down the drain. These were incredibly easy to use and I didn’t lose product in the process!

The designs I showed aren’t the only ones available for each scent. There are other designs. There is also a nice assortment of scents to choose from as well.

Price: $1.55-$1.75 Mani Mochi | $5.25 – $5.50 Mega Mochi

lol so do I! My boyfriend asked what I was cutting up and I said “a mochi!” and he gave me “the look” and walked away.
