Rusk Being Sexy Shampoo, Conditioner and Styling Cream Review

Tonight I am going to show off my new HG Shampoo, Conditioner and Styling Cream!  I have been using all 3 of these for over a month now and I love them!

A little background on my hair:  I have long, thick (I have to get it thinned at the salon every other month) brown hair .  My hair is perfectly straight in the front and has a curl in the back that drives me insane.  I haven’t color treated my hair in a year, I don’t use hairspray, gel or mousse and I don’t even own a curling iron, blow dryer or straightener.  I’m VERY simple when it comes to my hair and I like it that way.

I was sent 3 items from the Rusk Being Sexy line to test out and I am SOLD!  I have one minor gripe about the bottles themselves, and I will show you that shortly!  Nothing huge, just something that irks me.

Rusk Being Sexy Shampoo, Conditioner and Styling Cream:

RUSK Haircare introduces new Being Sexy Shampoo, Conditioner and styling products, specifically designed to give hair the fullness and body that defines sexy hair.  All formulas contain a unique blend of ingredients to deliver voluptuous volume, tousled texture and seductive shine for “uninhibited hair”.

What I loved about the Shampoo & Conditioner combo is that it gave a little weight to my hair and helped take some of the curl out of the back without making it look too weighed down.  Usually products that accomplish this make my hair TOO heavy and I don’t care for that.  While it gives enough weight in the back, it also adds life to my straight locks in the front.  My hair is softer, smoother and the scent is a light floral scent.

The Styling Cream was another awesome addition to my hair care routine.  I generally hop in the shower in the morning, wash my hair, towel dry my hair, comb it through and go.  With an extra quick step I put a small amount of Rush styling cream in my palm, rub it between my hands and then smooth my hands over my hair on top and in the front and on the ends.  I put more focus on my side swept bangs to control them and it works really well without feeling thick and heavy.  I see the difference as my hair dries and my hair looks like I spent more time styling it in the morning and its so quick and easy to do!

My hair from the back, there is still a wave to it, but nothing like normal!  This is also at the end of the day.  I can easily run my hands through my hair and no frizzies!

Now my minor gripe on the Shampoo and Conditioner bottles.  I keep my bottles on the opposite end of the bathtub from the shower spout.  Over the course of a couple weeks the inside of the lids were slowly filling with water from the shower.  I’m not keen on this, but next time I buy these I will keep them up in the window sill and hope that nixes the issue.

Water in Cap:

The Rusk Shampoo is also Sulfate Free so it cleans without stripping the hair of its essential oils and helps protect color-treated hair from color loss.  I know a lot of ladies that look for this in shampoo’s!  Being Sexy is decent for all hair types!

Pricing:

Shampoo: $14.00 for an 8.5 oz bottle

Conditioner: $14.00 for an 8.5 oz bottle

Would I repurchase?  Yes I will!!
