Rouge Louboutin Nail Polish Swatches & Review

by Lisa Heath

Purchased By Me

Yup.  I did it.  I completely splurged and bought this massive Rouge Louboutin nail polish.

I knew the packaging was oversized, but it didn’t fully sink in until it arrived.  The bottle stands at 8 inches tall.  It looks like a weapon, I won’t even lie, but I absolutely love the look of it.

The polish is encased in a faceted, weighted glass bottle with an unique ombré effect.  The cap was inspired by calligraphy and is actually really comfortable to hold.  I thought it would be a lot more awkward, but it wasn’t.

Application wise, I wasn’t expecting much.  I bought this for the look of the bottle, and because I wanted the classic shade!

If you were like me and decided the polish would probably not be very good, you’d be wrong.  The polish was actually a 1 coat polish.  It glided on easily and the brush was incredibly easy to control and no cleanup was required.  I did use 2 coats for these photos and a top coat.

Absolute Perfection.

Would I buy more Louboutin polishes?  Probably not.  This was a one time indulgence and I wanted the classic red!  But I cannot justify buying cremes at this price (as much as I would love to!) Are there dupes?  I’m positive there are.  But this bottle is incredible and it’s going on display in my polish room.

Price: $50.00

Wow it looks amazing on you! What top coat did you use? I splurged on this which the price has everyone talking and some not so nice. I think if you want to splurge on this polish its not different then a $100 foundation or makeup palette. I think a splurge is just that something you wouldn’t normally buy and something that makes you feel good about yourself. My biggest splurge would have to be a tie between Chanel Jade and Tom Ford’s perfumes . This color really looks stunning on you

You could keep it in your purse to double as self-defense :D

Oh! You bought this! I saw it somewhere online and instantly wanted it. I don’t know if I can justify the cost but I’d love, love, love to own it just so that I can keep it for a pet.

My most recent splurge was blowing a hundred clams on two CHANEL makeup items. (I deserved it, I had just been to the doctor and had a shot. I needed a treat.) My husband couldn’t get over how tiny the bag was for what I spent! His face, every time he looked at that bag on the drive home. LOLOL

It is a gorgeous shade, and the bottle is stunning. At least it’s a tax deduction, right?

Betzy Carmona August 8, 2014 - 7:12 pm

That’s a beautiful shade !

Sheila August 8, 2014 - 7:45 pm

$50 is a lot more affordable than the shoes!

Brittany August 8, 2014 - 8:01 pm

Pretty shade but I was totally hoping for something spectacular!

Bree August 8, 2014 - 8:25 pm

WOW! I’m totally jealous! I could never justify that although $50 bucks for that bottle alone is fairly reasonable considering the brand. If I ever did buy it I would totally like frame it in a shadow box or something and display it in my office like a trophy!!

Beautiful red though <3

Gorgeous shade but too rich for my blood!

This is very beautiful red polish and I love the design of this bottle, but spending 50$ on a nail polish is just too much for my budget at the moment.

Regular red shade
Why you cost so much money?
Stabs me through the heart

That is one gigantic lethal-looking polish, still though it’s a polish I would be afraid of using for fear of running out!

El color no es nada del otro mundo, pero el bote es precioso

My splurge moment was a bottle of Clarins 230 for $50 on eBay!

Debbie Spence August 10, 2014 - 10:07 am

Looks so fancy! I don’t think I would splurge on it though, but it would be an awesome display piece.

Stepanie Louise August 10, 2014 - 3:32 pm

It is a splurge but it is also FANTASTIC looking!

Kim August 11, 2014 - 9:11 am

It’s a pretty red, but, I doubt I’d ever spend $50 on a polish.

Kat August 11, 2014 - 6:59 pm

The colour looks great on you and the bottle is gorgeous! They are called splurges because they are fabulous and they make us happy!

I’ve been surfing online greater than three hours lately, but I never discovered any
interesting article like yours. It is beautiful
price sufficient for me. Personally, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content
as you did, the internet might be a lot more
helpful than ever before.

It’s crucial since many walkers do not know very well what is fixed, so they have
enhanced the chance in their life. Sneakers also need to be top quality to
guard the feet against anything, like upset, water and stones.
