Happy Monday! How is October almost over already?! This year is just flying by.

To kick the week off I have Pretty Serious Cosmetics Post Apocalyptic Princess collection as well as the Limited Edition shade Ninja-Lish-ious.

I won’t lie, I’m a little out of it right now and just flat out exhausted after sitting in traffic for over an hour on my whopping 14 mile drive home from work. You’d think that after doing the same commute for 6 years that I would get use to it, but I don’t. Ever. My mind just feels numb right now.

First we will take a look at the Post Apocalyptic Princess Collection and then we’ll dive into the Limited Edition Ninja-Lish-ious shade.

For the Post Apocalyptic Princess Collection I will have a snippet from the Pretty Serious Cosmetics site so you can read the inspiration behind each shade.

Badlands Bandit

Badlands Bandit

Inspired directly from the colour pallette of the previously mentioned Borderlands and Fallout games, here is the deep but flashy Badlands Bandit! This insanely bold blue metallic shimmer will have those rich dwellers remembering your name as you scavenge the badlands and rightfully claim everything as yours!

Badlands Bandit is a beautiful blue metallic shimmer. I used 2 coats for these photos and a glossy top coat. There were minor brush strokes visible, but that’s fairly common with metallics.

Cherry 2000

Cherry 2000

We bring you Cherry 2000! This one is inspired from several angles. The Borderlands/Fallout colour styling lead to a cherry red that you just have to name after one of the classic wasteland movies – Cherry 2000. And we all know that way off in the future in the year 2000 AD, that’s when the apocalypse begins!

Cherry 2000 is an absolutely gorgeous black cherry red with silver shimmer laced through it. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Frogtown

Frogtown

This is Frogtown! Totally inspired by the classic movie starring the late, great, Rowdy Roddy Piper – Hell Comes to Frogtown. Roddy plays the last fertile man on Earth, Sam Hell, after nuclear war and is kept under the control of the women folk now in control of the US by the contraption save guarding his invaluable manhood. He is sent into a town of intelligent and humanoid mutant frogs to rescue a harem of fertile women. Yes, that’s real and it is awesome!

Frogtown is a beautiful dusty green creme with violet flecks and green and silver shimmer throughout. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Nuke The Fridge

Nuke The Fridge

Many know the term “Jumped the shark” for when a TV show has ran out of ideas and descended into the absurd. Inspired by Fonzie jumping over a shark on Happy Days, a movie equivalent was born the moment Indiana Jones climbed into a lead lined fridge to survive a nuclear blast and was rocketed to safety. And now we bring to you – Nuke The Fridge.

Nuke The Fridge is actually one of my favorites in the collection. This is a navy blue base with a ton of olive green and bronze shimmer throughout as well as gold micro flecks. The shimmer is so packed in this shade that it is hard to show the navy blue base through it. Truly stunning in person. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat.

Toxic Tiara

Toxic Tiara

Every princess of the wastelands needs some sort of a crown, right? A sparkly, dusty pink tiara sounds fitting, doesn’t it?

Toxic Tiara is a deep rose base packed with gold shimmer and flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Gluteus Equine

Gluteus Equine

Gluteus Equine is our love letter to Handsome Jack’s pony that is made entirely of diamonds – Butt Stallion!
Gluteus Equine is a top coat that has rainbow opal flakes, iridescent blue glass fleck, micro holo, and holographic diamonds mixed into a clear base. I used 2 coats over Pretty Serious Cosmetics Absence.

Ninja lish ous

Ninja-Lish-ious was created to show the Pretty Serious Cosmetics US Warehouse Ninja Of Operations, Alicia, how much they love her! So they designed the limited edition Ninja-Lish-ious! This is a gorgeous deep navy jelly base with blue, green and teal glass flecks mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

So many pretties in one spot. Where do I even start? I can’t pick out a favorite in this collection. I am incredibly drawn to Nuke The Fridge and Cherry 2000 though. All are wearable for me and each one I put on had a great formula and made me go “ohhh! how pretty!”

I used to commute 18 miles, and it would take me well over an hour each way – so I feel your pain!! These swatches are lovely though, I love Cherry 2000 and that electric blue is the perfect toe shade!
