The Perfect Barielle Manicure Review & Giveaway

by Lisa Heath

Press Sample

Recently I was asked by Barielle to pick out some of their products that I would use to create the perfect Barielle manicure.  I’ve been using their products for a few years now, so the selection process was pretty much a no brainer for me.  The color of polish took me the longest!

In today’s post I’m going to walk you through the Barielle items I would use to create the Perfect Barielle Manicure… and then you will have a chance to win the same exact items I use!

Now remember, the perfect manicure often starts before the base coat.  Every Sunday I have a routine for nail care that includes cuticle remover, a glass nail file, intensive cuticle oil and nail strengthening cream.  We’ll start from there!

Extra Gentle Cuticle Minimizer

Before I started blogging I use to not pay attention to my cuticles and they went crazy.  It wasn’t until I was polishing regularly that I noticed how much they had taken over.  Barielle Extra Gentle Cuticle Minimizer is a gentle and effective gel that gently softens and moisturizes your cuticles to allow you to gently push them back (with the orange stick provided).  Super easy to use.  Squeeze a small amount onto your cuticles and let sit for 2-3 minutes, then gently push back.

Nail Strengthener Cream

I use the Nail Strengthener Cream when my nails feel dry or after a swatch session that was longer than normal and my nails need some therapy.  I just apply a small amount to each nail and rub it in.  On days I don’t paint my nails I throw the jar in my purse and use it on my lunch break as well to keep my nails healthy looking and moisturized.

Intensive Nail Renewal Oil

The item every nail girl needs.  Scratch that.  This is the item every girl in general needs!  You do so much with your hands and simple things like washing your hands takes out moisture… so does nail polish remover.  Cuticle oil helps replenish that oil and keeps your cuticles and skin hydrated, which helps prevent painful split cuticles, hangnails, and rough skin.

Now lets move on to the manicure!

Natural Nail Camouflage

Natural Nail Camouflage is a great base coat to use.  It also has a nice pale nude tint to it which gives your nails a healthy, glowy look if you want to go without polish.  Base coat is important for longer lasting manicures, and to avoid things like the dreaded Smurf Nails and other staining some nail polishes cause!

Straight A Coral

I went over the Barielle color selection a bazillion times trying to think of what color to pick for this and I finally picked Straight A Coral.  One of my favorite Barielle shades, and I actually already used a full bottle of it!  Perfect on your tips or on your toes!

Gel Top Coat

Barielle has a few top coats, including a fast dry… but Gel Top Coat is worth the wait time for drying.  It’s not a gel that requires UV or LED light to cure either.. it’s a super glossy top coat that lasts.

Trind Cuticle balsam is a must for my daily nail care routine and you can paint your nails immediately afterwards. I wouldn’t mind giving Barielle cuticle care products a go, though.

If I had to choose only ONE go-to manicure item, it would be a base coat. I use several, depending on what I need, but I won’t put polish on without it. I can do without clean up tools, even my ubiquitous quick-dry top coats, but base coat is a MUST!
