NDLacquers Cosmos Collection Swatches & Review

by Lisa Heath

NDLacquers is set to release their 5 piece Cosmos collection!  Preorders are open now through April 7th!  There is also a nice 20% off code at the bottom of this post, so make sure you check it out!

The Cosmos collection features 5 polishes with 3 “chameleon toppers”, 1 glitter packed jelly and a glow in the dark glitter topper.

Lets take a look!

Songs of Neptune

Songs of Neptune

Songs of Neptune is a blue jelly base with small and medium blue and aqua hex glitters as well as large blue dot glitters mixed in.  I used 3 coats for these photos.

Falling Stars

Falling Stars

Falling Stars is the glow in the dark  glitter top coat.  As I’ve said before in posts, my house doesn’t get fully dark, there is always light coming from somewhere, so I don’t have any glow shots for you.  It’s still a pretty nice topper though even without the glow in the dark aspect!  This is full of matte black glitters in dots, squares, stars and micro glitter as well as iridescent glitters and silver holographic stars.  I used 2 coats over NDLacquers Lily for these photos.

Liquid Sun

Liquid Sun

Liquid Sun can be worn alone, or over black.  I like to show it on it’s own though so you see what you are buying.  This is 2 coats and it looks beautiful.  There are slight brush strokes visible, but its still an intense coppery orange metallic like creme.

Supernova

Supernova

Supernova is another shade that can be worn alone or over black, but I actually really liked it on its own!  This is 3 thin coats and it’s a warm pink that shifts to orange with fine silver holographic microglitters mixed in.

Winter’s Gate

Winters Gate

Winter’s Gate is a deep midnight blue jelly with small holographic glitters mixed in.  Looks like the night sky!  I used 3 thin coats for this photo, but you can also layer this over black for a deeper shade.

Overview

Overall I liked this collection.  It’s a little different for being released in the Spring, but all 5 shades look great and apply with no issues.  The last 3 I showed can be worn alone or over another shade (doesn’t have to be black) to get more effects out of it or convert other shades.  Falling Stars is a must have and I love it as a glitter top coat.  Lily is the white shade worn under Falling Stars, and Lily was part of the Spring collection by NDLacquers which is a beautiful shimmery white polish.  They make a great pairing!

Price: $7.00 per bottle or $30 for the full 5 piece collection

Suggestion to make a room dark enough to show glow in the dark….take a blanket and hang on the inside of a closet, shut the door, turn off the light
