I have 8 different top coats to show you tonight from Mentality which range from a nice gloss to a gorgeous holo!
All of the following swatches are done over Mentality Scoundrel which is a semi gloss black creme polish (which is also a great stamping polish!). I wanted to do the same base for all of them since this is about the top coats. I only used 1 layer of top coat for each photo over 2 coats of Scoundrel.
The Flakies
Blue Flakie
Blue Flakie is a translucent blue jelly polish loaded with blue flakies that also give a slight pink flash.
Gold Flakie
Gold Flakie is a translucent yellow jelly polish loaded with gold flakies.
Red Flakie
Red Flakie is a translucent pink jelly polish loaded with red flakies.
Multi Flakie
Multi Flakie is a translucent orange jelly polish loaded with multi colored flakie.
The Holos
Holo
Holo is a nice silver linear holographic top coat that transforms any polish into a linear holographic.
Under Artificial Lighting
Matte Holo
What’s that? A MATTE holo? Yes indeed! This is the matte version of the Holo Top Coat! Turns any polish into a matte linear holographic. This is the only matte holo top coat I’ve seen before!

Suede and Regular
Suede
Suede is a shimmery matte top coat. For those who aren’t aware – when a polish is labeled as “suede finish” it generally means that it’s a matte polish with some shimmer in it. This is the only suede top coat I’ve seen – so instantly turn any shade into a Suede!
Top Coat
Top Coat is a clear glossy top coat. This is not a fast dry top coat and took about 8 minutes total to dry for me. Very glossy and it does apply clear even though it looks cloudy in the bottle!
Mentality does have one more top coat that I don’t currently have in my possession, which is Matte Top Coat. As it implies – it’s a top coat to turn any polish into a matte finish shade.

I am a sucker for mattes, so that matte holo cries out to me “take me, I belong in your stash!” I have a few of her matte holo colors and LOVE them. It is soon to be mine….do I get paid this week?
