***Added 7/23/15 – please read this announcement ***

If you have purchased from Mentality from April 2015 – June 2015 and you are experiencing sensitivity, itchiness or burning, please contact Mentality directly to have your polishes replaced. Their email is [email protected]

I personally did NOT experience any reactions when using these polishes, but many did. Please know I would have been fully transparent had I known the damage that was being caused. Again, please read the announcement above and by clicking on it, you will be taken to Mentality’s initial statement regarding the issue.

I have a mix of different Mentality Nail Polish shades to show you tonight!  They have recently launched a few new additions to existing lines, and I have 7 of the new creations to share with you.

Several of these I have shown you past collections of, so I will try to link the past collections under each description.

Inflame

Inflame

Inflame is a red toned pink holographic jellychrome with glass flecks that shift blue-green, blue, violet, to red. I used 2 coats for these photos.

Inflame is an addition to the Holo Jellychrome collection which only had a couple shades in it previously.  The collection has been expanded to add 6 more holo jellychromes.

Blast is part of the Matte Jellychrome Collection which has been expanded to add 6 more shades.

Instigate

Instigate

Instigate is a yellow holographic jellychrome with glass flecks that shift violet-blue, violet, red, to orange-yellow. I used 2 coats for these photos.  The glass flecks seemed a little larger in this polish, I don’t know if that was intentional, or just coincidental since I know not all glass flecks are of equal size.  Either way I still had no application issues, just wanted to note that.

Instigate joins Inflame as a new addition to the Holo Jellychrome Collection

Vexare

Vexare

Vexare is part of a brand new line… the Tetrachrome Collection!

Vexare is a blackened multichrome with glass flecks that shift blue, violet, red, to orange.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

Stature

Stature

Stature is another shade from a new line – the Jellytone Collection.

Stature is a dusty reddish violet metallic jelly nail polish. Metallic Jelly seems like a weird phrasing, but it’s the closest I can come up with to describe it.  It has the sheer qualities of a jelly, but with a metallic finish.  It does lack the squishy jelly effect though.  It’s not a creme or a crelly – so jelly best suits it.

I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

Delivery

Delivery is also part of the new Jellytone Collection.

Delivery is a blue metallic jelly nail polish.  Confused about that description?  Look above at my reasoning with Stature – same thing.

I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

Glitz

glitz

Glitz is a stand alone shade.  It isn’t part of any collection at this point. Glitz is a full coverage, sparkly rainbow of micro-glitter. I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

Volunteer

volunteer

Volunteer is another stand alone shade.

Volunteer is a full coverage red, white, and blue micro-glitter. I used 2 coats for these photos.

Mentality had a line of micro glitters back when I first started blogging with them.  If you tried those, I have to let you know that Volunteer is a much better formula and glitter mix.  The glitters covered better and laid flatter than the previous microglitters.

Overview

I’m definitely excited to try out more Matte & Holo Jellychrome shades as those are more “up my alley”.  All of these shades are lovely, but Blast and Inflame definitely won me over big time.

I had no application issues other than visible brush strokes in both Jellytone shades, but that’s to be fairly expected from metallic like polishes.

Price: $6.50 – $8.50 per polish
