Maya Cosmetics Nail Lacquer Swatches and Review

Happy Sunday!  I have an amazing set of indie polishes set up today!  The lovely lady behind Maya Cosmetics asked me to review a few of her creations and I was more than happy to do so after seeing them reviewed on Things I Love At The Moment (which is also another blog you should check out!).

I was sent 4 Maya Cosmetic Nail Lacquers to review and this is one talented lady!  Her Grand Opening was on October 4th of this year and I really hope she takes off!  The quality and uniqueness of these blew me away!  I had absolutely no formula issues on any of these 4 polishes and all of them spread nicely and evenly, even the chunkier glitters!

Last Call:

Last Call is perfect for those of you who aren’t into glitter bombs but still love a little sparkle! Last Call is described as a Blackened violet with blue/violet/pink-shifting flecks.  This one is a stunner!  Probably my favorite of the 4!  I only needed 2 coats of Last Call and a top coat to finish this mani off.

Commotion:

Commotion is a lovely glitter bomb!  I layered Commotion over Last Call and I really think they make a beautiful combo.  Commotion is a glitter concoction of Blue, purple and silver hex glitters with small silver and pink  glitters in a clear base.  I only used 1 coat of Commotion over Last Call and a top coat for this mani.

It Can’t Rain All The Time:

It Can’t Rain All The Time is a very delicate color.  It is described as a sheer gray base with gunmetal, periwinkle, mint green, and lavender glitter and subtle purple shimmer.  I used 1 layer of It Can’t Rain All The Time over Trind Pastel Blue.  On it’s own, It Can’t Rain All The Time is incredibly sheer – but it is buildable.  This is an amazing layering polish and there are a lot of colors it would look amazing over.

Hidden Agenda:

Hidden Agenda is beautiful!  I love dark polishes that have vibrant glitters within to stand out.  Hidden Agenda is a black jelly base polish filled with mainly red hex glitters with tons of tiny red, teal, purple, green and gold glitters sprinkled in.  I used 3 coats of Hidden Agenda for this mani.  The first coat looked REALLY sheer so I wasn’t sure how well it would build, but by the second coat I knew it would be fine.  The third coat gave off the opacity I wanted for this photo.

Maya Cosmetics definitely did an amazing job with these polishes.  Each one had it’s own unique look and her store contains “Shimmers” as well as “Glitters” so there is a little something for everyone, since I know not everyone loves lots of glitters either because of the look or the removal process.  Either way, Maya Cosmetics Shimmers are just as fabulous if you prefer those!

Make sure you check out Maya Cosmetics on her Facebook Page as well as on Twitter.

Maya Cosmetics Nail Lacquer retails for $8.00 per bottle and can be found on her shop page HERE

Hope you loved these swatches!  I can’t wait to see more from Maya Cosmetics!  Truly amazing creations <3
