KBShimmer Winter 2013 Collection Part 1 Swatch & Review

by Lisa Heath

KBShimmer released a HUGE Winter 2013 Collection this year!  I already reviewed the 11 Blogger Collection shades, which I’m also giving away 2 sets of (courtesy of KBShimmer!) so make sure to pop in there and enter the giveaway – it is open to US and International!

Today I will be showing you the KBShimmer Winter 2013 Collection Part 1.  This post will cover the 6 multichrome shades within the Winter Collection.  3 of them are holographic as well!  All 6 of these can be layered over a darker polish (like a black creme) to intensify the polishes.  I did not layer these so you could see what i got with them on their own.

Pigment Of My Imagination

Pigment Of My Imagination

This multi-chrome polish shifts depending on the angle and the light, from blue, to purple, to red.  To me, this one had the deepest and richest color.

In this photo you can see more of the shift at once starting from the pinky and going to the index finger.  The effect is stronger in person.

Myth You Lots

Myth You Lots

Similar in shift to Pigment of Imagination, this multi-chrome also has a linear holo! I used 3 coats for these photos.

Shade Shifter

Shade Shifter full

A multi-chrome polish that changes depending on light and angle from cyan, to blue, to red orange, to purple.  From photos, this looks very similar to Pigment of My Imagination, but I promise it’s not.  Pigment of My Imagination has a stronger purple presence while Shade Shifter has a stronger blue tone.  I used 3 coats for this photo.

Rollin’ With The Chromies

Similar in shift to Shade Shifter, this multi-chrome also has a linear holo! I used 3 coats for this photo.  Again, this may look similar to Myth You lots, but the blue is stronger in person in this shade.

Urban Camo

Urban Camo full

A multi-chrome polish that shifts from a pretty pistachio green, to a bright green, to silver, to a soft pink almost lavender color depending on the light and viewing angle.  This color blew me away when the light hit it and showed off the brilliant bright green!  I used 3 coats for this photo.

In this photo you can see a bit of the pistachio green on the pinkie and it shifts to the brighter green and then gives way to a slightly lavender shade on the index.

Pretty In Punk

Similar in shift to Urban Camo, this multi-chrome also has a linear holo!  I used 3 coats for these photos.

All 6 of these are beautiful and shift so much more than a photo can show.  They applied smooth and easy and had really good dry time.  I used 3 coats for each photo, but as I said, you can also layer these over darker shades like a black creme to intensify the look even more.

My Top Picks:  Urban Camo, Pigment Of My Imagination and Rollin’ With The Chromies (but really – they were all amazing!)

Price:  $8.75 Each (Top coat used is $5.00 per bottle)

Where to Buy: KBShimmer Website and Harlow & Co (for international orders)

These released on both of the above website TODAY!  If you are US, you can order from Harlow & Co, but please use the KBShimmer website if possible so the international buyers have a shot at these beauties as well.

Make sure you follow KBShimmer on Facebook as well to see more gorgeous shots of all of these colors!

Part 2 will be up later tonight, so keep an eye out for the rest of this amazing collection!

I bought shade shifter and applied 5 coats and it was still very sheer and nothing like it looks in the bottle or your pictures.
