Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Birchbox Pink

This is my first experience with the company Jouer.  I received a small lip gloss sample in my December Birchbox of Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Birchbox Pink.  It looked really scary in the tube – not a shade I would consider wearing.

Birchbox Pink is a fuchsia shade thats a little on the brighter side, at least thats how it appears in the tube.  Upon application, I was really surprised to see it was really sheer and only added a little color to my lips – Birchbox Pink is a very natural looking shade.  If you are going for a more “natural” pop of color (usually what I want on the weekend) this is perfect!

Another added surprise was how long it lasted.  I like lip gloss but I hate the fact that its usually gone 20-30 minutes after applying.  I applied Jouer’s Birchbox Pink a little over an hour ago and its still hanging on.  Another HUGE plus for me – the gloss isn’t sticky.  It drives me nuts when I put on lip gloss and it feels like I slathered craft glue on my lips.

I apologize for my lips in the photo, I usually use a lip scrub every couple days and I’ve been slacking with all this time off from work from the holidays… they usually aren’t that dry looking!  This is 2 coats of Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Birchbox Pink… very natural looking.

**UPDATE**

Its been 4 hours since I applied Jouer’s Birchbox Pink.  I have had 2 drinks, dinner,  and kissed my son goodnight twice… and I can still see it.  On top of that – my lips look somewhat smoother.  I can still feel the “slick” lipgloss feeling (it has diminished some – but its still there) without reapplying.  I may be purchasing a full tube of this in the coming weeks!
