InstaNatural Argan Oil Hair Treatment Review

by Lisa Heath

A few months ago I shared my review of InstaNatural’s Argan Oil.  Today I will be sharing another InstaNatural Argan Oil product, but it has a few more oils blended in to amp it up.

I wasn’t sure what I would think of this product.  I adore my Argan Oil, but this one contains a blend of coconut oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil and sunflower oil too.  I have used almost all of these oils for one thing or another separately with some success.

As a mix together though?  I think it’s a bit too much for my hair.

I have a slightly oily, thick head of hair.  If I go more than 24 hours without washing, you can tell.  All of my skin is like this in fact.  I have oily skin.

The suggested use for InstaNatural Argan Oil Hair Treatment & Elixir is to apply the product to your hair and leave it in for at least 10 minutes (you can leave it in longer, even overnight if you wish to) and then wash out with shampoo.  When done, apply a small amount into damp hair and scrunch in.

I did that, and it was too much for my hair.  Way too much.  My hair looked like I hadn’t washed it in days.  It was smooth and shiny… but not in the way one would hope for in a hair treatment.

After another 2 or 3 thorough washings and getting my hair back into a non oily state, I tried using it as I use my other Argan Oil, as a leave in treatment.  I applied a very small amount to my hands, rubbed around and then scrunched into my hair.  Still a no go.

I do like the InstaNatural brand overall, but unfortunately, this treatment wasn’t a match for me and I won’t be using it again.

My guess would be that this treatment would be a little more ideal for people with dry, damaged hair over my already naturally oily hair.

Oh well, can’t win em all!
