I A.M. Custom Color Lips2Tips Coco Mango Balm and Coco Mint Joe Scrub Review

by Lisa Heath

I have 2 new items to show you today that will help keep your lips and tips in shape this year!

I A.M. Custom Color is a fairly new indie brand and she sent me a nice variety of items to review and share on my blog.  Because of the number of items I received, I decided to split them up into 3 posts.  First I will be showing you the Lips2Tips balm and scrub.  Both of these items are good to use as a body/hand scrub or as a lip product.

Let’s take a closer look at both products

Lips2Tips Coco Mint Joe Scrub

IAMCC Lipscrub spoon

I received the scrub in a small container and it had a little plastic spoon!  I’m easily amused, so yeah… I thought it was adorable.

IAMCC Lipscrub

Lips2Tips Coco Mint Joe Scrub smells divine.  It’s pretty much my 3 favorite things in one container.  Coco, Mint and Coffee.  YUM!  The scrub itself isn’t too dry, but it isn’t too “wet” – it has a nice consistency balance so you can easily and evenly distribute the product without having to use a ton of product to do so.  I’ve been using it mainly as a hand scrub and it’s divine!  The scent also lingers a bit after use, and it doesn’t small like a cheap synthetic fragrance.  I actually can smell the different notes of mint, cocoa and coffee.

Lips2Tips Coco Mango Balm

Lips2Tips

Much like the Lips2Tips scrub, the Lips2Tips Balm can be used on the lips… or on the tips.  I do prefer it on the tips because it worked so well and I didn’t want to waste it anywhere else.  If you do want to wear it on the lips, there is no taste to it and virtually no scent, which I prefer with this type of lip product.  I am ok with scents, but sometimes I just want something quick and simple on that does it’s job.

As far as a cuticle balm, it works really well.  It goes on easily and isn’t too thick.  I only needed a little bit to moisturize all of my cuticles and nail beds.  Because it’s a balm though, I prefer to use it at night and let it sit for a bit so I don’t worry about getting small prints on papers.  It really does a wonderful job hydrating though and my cuticles are looking decent since starting to use it a couple weeks ago.

And here are my nails after a couple weeks of using both the scrub and the balm on them.

*gasp* I know… naked nails.  Ignore the light staining on them, I work them hard.

Overview

Since I work full time in an accounting firm, this time of year my hands and nails need HELP.  I paper shuffle a lot, handle files, and get paper cuts like no other, so my hands need moisture.  I, A.M. Custom Color Lips2Tips is a great start.  The Lips2Tips scrub helps get rid of dead skin as well as add some moisture, and the Lips2Tips balm give a nice hydration with out an incredibly oily feel.

Price: Coco Mint Joe Scrub is $4.00 for 2.5 oz  Coco Mango Balm is $4.00-$10.00 depending on amount purchased

Where To Buy: I, A.M. Custom Color Shop
