Fandom Cosmetics The Book of Houses Collection Swatches & Review

Any Game of Thrones fans around?  If so, I have just the collection for you!  If not, that’s ok, you’ll still love these gorgeous shades I’m about to show you!

Fandom Cosmetics is releasing a 12 piece Game of Thrones inspired collection today named The Book of Houses. Tonight is the season premiere of Game of Thrones, so what better day to release the collection?

This post is fairly picture heavy, so lets get down to it!

Hear Me Roar

Hear Me Roar is a deep opaque red with holographic red, burnt orange and gold shimmer.  It also has small holographic gold glitters in it that spark off a rainbow of color when lighting hits just right.  I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

Winter Is Coming

Winter Is Coming is an opaque grey creme with matte white hex glitters and shreds within it.  I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

Ours Is The Fury

Ours Is The Fury is a shimmery gold base with matte black hexes and micro glitter scattered within.  I used 3 thin coats for these photos.  I really love the shimmer that makes up the base, it really has a nice glow to it!

Fire And Blood

Definitely a top pick from this collection!  Fire and Blood is a black jelly base filled with deep coppery red shimmer.  I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

Growing Strong

Growing Strong is a green crelly base filled with holographic gold shimmer and shreds.  I did have to manipulate some of the larger shreds to lay flat, but overall I think it was only 2 pieces that I manipulated.  I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

As High As Honor

As High As Honor was my #1 from this collection.  This is an opaque navy blue creme with holographic gold and blue shimmer and micro glitter within in.  I was expecting this to leave a blue stain on my nails, but it didn’t, which was an awesome surprise.  I used 3 thin coats for these photos and it’s a very rich and sparkly shade!

Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken

Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken is a fiery orange creme base with gold and red hex glitters within in.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

We Do Not Sow

We Do Not Sow is another favorite!  This is a black jelly base filled with holographic gold micro glitter and gold shreds.  I used 3 thin coats for these photos and achieved full opacity on the black jelly base in just 3 coats.

Family, Duty, Honor

Family, Duty, Honor is a sheer shimmery reddish orange base with blue, holographic silver and copper glitter within it.  I used 3 coats for these photos.

Family, Duty, Honor Over Black Creme

I decided to layer Family, Duty, Honor over a black creme and see how it looks… I liked the outcome.  This is just 1 coat of Family, Duty, Honor over a plain black creme polish.

Our Blades Are Sharp

Our Blades Are Sharp is a clear base with red and pastel pink hex glitters.  I used 2 coats of Our Blades Are Sharp over a black creme.

Here We Stand

Here We Stand is a clear base glitter bomb filled with green holographic shimmer, emerald green hex, black hex and metallic green dot glitters.  I used 1 coat of Here We Stand over Trind Appletini.

Yes my nails are nubs for just 2 polishes in this post.  No I don’t really want to talk about it as I’m still grumbling to myself over having to file them down this short.

The Hunt Is All

The Hunt Is All is a vibrant yellow creme base filled with gold micro glitter and small matte black hexes and a dash of silver shred glitters.  I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

Overview

So many lovely shades in this collection!  I love all the shimmers and jellies, and my top picks are definitely As High As Honor, Fire and Blood, and We Do Not Sow.  Aside from manipulating some of the larger shred pieces in Growing Strong, I had no application issues with these shades.
