DIFFERENT dimension Echoes Collection Swatches & Review

DIFFERENT dimension has released a 6 piece collection inspired by Pink Floyd!  I have been showing shots of these gorgeous polishes all week on InstaGram and it took me longer than planned to swatch because I didn’t want to take them off!

Comfortably Numb:

20130529-100012.jpg

I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown
The dream is gone
I… Have become comfortably numb

Comfortably Numb is a clear base with pink shimmer and hot pink and yellow squares and hexes mixed in.  I used 1 coat over China Glaze Sun of a Peach!  Love this combo and ended up wearing it for 2 days after swatching it.

Another Brick In The Wall:

Teacher, leave those kids alone.
Hey, Teacher, leave those kids alone!
All in all it’s just another brick in the wall.
All in all you’re just another brick in the wall.

Another Brick In The Wall is a gorgeous mix of white and black rectangles, hot pink squares and hexes and small white, black and silver holo glitters in a clear base!  I used 1 coat of Another Brick in the Wall over China Glaze You Drive Me Coconuts!

Wish You Were Here:

20130529-100018.jpg

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We’re just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
And how we found
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

Wish You Were Here is a wonderful assortment of multi colored square, hex and circle glitters in a clear base. I was really surprised at how easy the larger circle glitters came out! I used 1 coat over China Glaze Shell-o.  Another combo I love!

Time:

20130529-100051.jpg

Tired of lying in the sunshine
Staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long
And there is time to kill today

Time consists of black diamond, star, circle and square glitter, light grey hex and square glitter, and purple holographic circles and stars.  I used 1 coat over China Glaze That’s Shore Bright.

Money:

Money, so they say
Is the root of all evil
Today

Money is a white crèlly base with neon green, neon yellow, gold, black and blue glitters in circles and hexes scattered throughout!  I used 3 coats for this photo and a glossy top coat!

Hey you ! out there in the cold
Getting lonely, getting old, can you feel me

Hey You is one of my favorites!  Hey You is a milky lavender base with purple hex and circle glitters as well as fuchsia circle glitters.  I used 3 coats for this photo and a glossy top coat.

I really enjoyed this collection!  I didn’t have any application issues, but DIFFERENT dimension does warn on her Etsy site that some polishes with larger glitters may need to be held upside down a bit to get the glitters mixed back in with smaller ones!  I personally didn’t have to do any of that, but it may be needed once the polishes have been sitting a bit.

My top picks from the Echoes Collection are Comfortably Numb,  Hey You and Wish You Were Here!

I found myself humming the songs as I was reading and looking at swatches. Did you find yourself doing the same as you were swatching?

I don’t normally like textured polishes but these look soooo pretty! Great swatches as always! :)
