DIFFERENT dimension 80’s Baby 2.0 Collection Swatches & Review

by Lisa Heath

Press Sample

I’ve been sitting on these samples for almost a month now, but the wait is over and this collection will be releasing this Friday!  For those who’ve been around indies for a bit, you might remember this collection, except it’s been revamped and is now the 2.0 version of 80’s Baby!

I never owned the original 80’s Baby collection so I don’t know for sure how different these are from those.  From what I’ve seen/read – the original set was more of a jelly finish while these are cremes.

Ditz 2.0

Ditz full

Ditz 2.0 is a neon pink creme with a scattered holo and slight shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Whatever 2.0

Whatever

Whatever 2.0 is just beautiful.  I love purple and this was perfection.   Whatever 2.0 is a red toned bright purple with scattered holo and shimmer.  I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Totally 2.0

Totally

Totally 2.0 is the neon highlighter yellow in the collection!  This also has a scattered holo as well as some shimmer mixed in.  I used 2 coats and a top coat for these photos.

Homeboy 2.0

Homeboy

Homeboy 2.0 is a bright blue scattered holo with shimmer.  I used 2 coats for these photos… and this shade is just amazing.  I swatched this a few weeks ago and looking at this photo now… I need to put it back on.

Tubular 2.0

Tubular

This gorgeous one right here held all of the swatch posting up.  I’ve had the other 5 done since early April, but Missi was so excited for her trip that this one missed the box!

Tubular 2.0 is a neon orange with scattered holo and gold shimmer.  I used 2 coats for these photos.  Of the 6, this was the only one I had slight leveling issues with.

Overview

With the exception of Tubular 2.0 having minor self leveling issues, all of the other shades applied perfectly.  Each one has a nice, light scattered holo as well as added shimmer within it.  As I said before, I don’t have the original collection to compare it to, so I’m not sure how it stacks up.
