This afternoon I have The Queen Collection to show you from Cupcake Polish!  The Queen collection is a 5 piece collection inspired by Queens from European history. These five colors are rich gemstone colored holographic polishes packed with shimmers for an effect worthy of royalty.

These shades are all gorgeous in the bottle and even more gorgeous on the nail.

Maria

Maria

Maria is inspired by Maria Theresa of Austria. Maria Theresa is credited for making many improvements to her kingdom during her reign. She valued arts, medical advancements, and education and helped improve these in Austria.

Maria is an almost metallic blue linear holographic with green shimmer.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

Catherine

Catherine

Catherine is inspired by Catherine II (Catherine the Great) of Russia. Catherine ruled during Russia’s Golden Age and is credited for expanding the Russian empire and allowing the arts to flourish during her reign.

Catherine is a heavily pink leaning red with a metallic linear holographic and pink shimmer.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth

Elizabeth is inspired by Elizabeth I of England. Elizabeth is credited for bringing religious tolerance to England. She also brought the Renaissance to her kingdom- a period where creative thinking was plentiful.

Elizabeth is a light gold with a metallic linear holographic with gold shimmers.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

Eleanor

Eleanor

Eleanor is inspired by Eleanor of Aquitaine. Eleanor ruled during the high middle ages. Eleanor is credited for transforming the French province of Aquitaine into the center of knowledge and culture during her reign.

Eleanor is actually a lot more sparkly in person than I could capture in photos.  It’s possibly my favorite of the group.  Eleanor is a black linear holographic with shimmer that shifts from pink to blue.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

Victoria

Victoria

Victoria is inspired by Victoria of the United Kingdom. Victoria is considered one of the most influential Queens in history because of her 63 year reign spanning 6 continents. Victoria is credited for bringing both political and social reforms to her kingdom.

For me, Victoria is tied as my top pick in this collection (along with Eleanor). Victoria is purple with a slight shift to red. It has a metallic linear holographic and is packed with pink shimmers.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

Overview

All 5 shades within the collection have an amazing twinkle to them in person that I couldn’t completely capture in a photo.  They all have a fairly strong linear holo appearance and the added shimmers make them pop even more.  I had no application issues with any of these shades and all were opaque in just 2 coats.

Price: $13.00 Each

I’m so impressed by Eleanor and, of course, Victoria! I’ve waited for a long time for Zoya to issue my namesake, but nope :)
