Spring 2016 House Of Colour
Review & Giveaway

I have another post for your tonight and it’s the China Glaze Spring 2016 House of Colour review and giveaway! I finished up the photos last night and got up early this morning to crop and watermark them all (so not a morning person, but I wanted it done!) plus prep the giveaway for my readers. It’s been awhile since I did a big giveaway for my readers, so I ordered this full collection while waiting for the samples to arrive.

China Glaze Spring 2016 Title Collage

Yup – the winner of the giveaway will receive ALL 12 colors shown above!

Let’s take a look at each shade individually, then we’ll move onto the giveaway.

China Glaze About Layin’ Out

China Glaze About Layin Out

China Glaze About Layin’ Out is a bright pink salmon crelly like formula. It’s a little pinker in person and was just bright enough to freak my camera out, but it’s not quite neon. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

China Glaze Chrome Is Where The Heart Is

China Glaze Chrome Is Where The Heart Is

China Glaze Chrome Is Where The Heart Is is a silvery purple foil finish. I used 2 coats and no top coat for these photos. There are visible brush strokes, which is common for this type of finish.

China Glaze Come Rain Or ShineChina Glaze Come Rain Or Shine

China Glaze Come Rain Or Shine is a beautiful medium blue creme base loaded with violet pink shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

China Glaze Don’t Be Shallow

China Glaze Don't Be Shallow

China Glaze Don’t Be Shallow is a light sky blue creme. I really liked this shade, but the formula is on the thinner side, so I needed 3 coats to build up to full opacity.

China Glaze Girls Just Wanna Have Sun

China Glaze Girls Just Wanna Have Sun

China Glaze Girls Just Wanna Have Sun is a pale yellow creme. First coat was identical to most pastels and the first 2 coats were a little patchy, but the third coat evened it out nicely.

China Glaze Glitter Me This…

China Glaze Glitter Me This Over Pink Or Swim

China Glaze Glitter Me This… is a really pretty glitter topper! It has a clear base with gold, silver, white and pale pink hex glitters in various sizes mixed in. I used 1 coat over Pink Or Swim for these photos. A little lower and you’ll see Glitter Me This… over Let’s Chalk About It.

I didn’t need to fish any glitters out and the base had a nice consistency.

China Glaze Let’s Chalk About It

China Glaze Let's Chalk About It

China Glaze Let’s Chalk About It is a described as a pastel lilac, but on it looks like a white creme that has been lightly tinted with lilac. It reminds me a lot of Friends Forever, Right? from the China Glaze The Giver collection released in August of 2014.

I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. It applied like a pastel and the first 2 coats were a little patchy, but the 3rd coat evened it out.

China Glaze Moonlight The Night

China Glaze Moonlight The Night Over Don't Be Shallow

China Glaze Moonlight The Night is a really pretty glitter topper! When I first received it, I thought it was pretty glitters in a sheer blue jelly base, but when I saw the description I was happy to see it’s a clear base.

China Glaze Moonlight The Night is a clear base packed with blue, turquoise, mint, orange iridescent hex glitters. I used 1 coat over China Glaze Don’t Be Shallow.

I also used China Glaze Moonlight The Night over In The Near Fuchsia to show it over another base.

China Glaze Sorry I’m Latte

China Glaze Sorry I'm Latte

China Glaze Sorry I’m Latte is a pale beige creme. It’s described by China Glaze as ‘light coffee with milk’ which is pretty accurate as well. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. I did find this formula a little on the thin side, but not runny.

I have a lot of Essie polish instead but since reading all of the polish blogs I see that people tend to prefer China Glaze over Essie. Would love to win and try it out! :) There are a lot of good ones in this collection. Thanks for sharing.

Ah, this is a near impossible choice, but my most worn is probably Fade Into Hue, with my over all favorite being a tie between Give Me The Green Light and Champagne Kisses, both so pretty to look at!
But I’m really loving Moonlight The Night from this collection, think it’d look great over Pink Or Swim or Don’t Be Shallow!

It’s a tough call but I think I would choose That’s Shore Bright as my favorite. I really love all of their neons. I have used 2 bottles of liquid leather tjough because it stamps well, it’s not my favorite color but I use it the most.

[…] I have a few giveaways coming up because I didn’t do anything for my 4 year blogiversary, so I’m scattering them out after the fact. After 4 years, I still love what I do, I still love my swatch sessions and a lot of what this blog has become wouldn’t be possible without the support of so many of my readers, so it’s my way of saying ‘Thank You’. In case you missed the other giveaway that’s almost over, make sure you go enter into the China Glaze Spring 2016 House Of Colour Giveaway. […]
