Above the Curve Nail Polish – Fallen Angel Collection – Swatches and Review

I have a gorgeous holographic collection to show you tonight!  This is the Fallen Angel Collection by Above the Curve!  This is a set of 4 unique holographic polishes that are absolutely stunning!

$1.00 from each bottle sold will be donated to Shriners Hospitals for Children by Above the Curve.  So not only will you be receiving a beautiful polish, you will also be making a contribution to Shriners Hospital for Children.

Here is the Above the Curve Mission Statement:

Our Mission is to raise awareness for Shriner’s Hospital’s for Children and Scoliosis.I encourage you to visit these website’s to learn more about them.http://www.shrinershq.org/ and http://www.scoliosis.org/

And a little about the duo behind the brand and why they donate to Shriners Hospital for Children:

We are a husband and wife team who love to make polish together!

When I was 12 I was diagnosed with a severe case of Scoliosis. I had a 72 degree curve and my spine was making my ribs twist into my heart and lungs. I had to have a rushed surgery to fuse my spine.

We were sent to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children and they did my surgery for free!!     They saved my life!

Without them I wouldn’t have met my wonderful husband and have my 3 beautiful children!

We have always wanted to repay them and help raise awareness and funds for Shriners Hospitals For Children as well as raise awareness for Scoliosis!

Hence the name Above The Curve

$1.00 of every bottle sold is donated to Shriner’s Hospitals For Children.

I had seen the brand name many times on various blogs, but never knew the reason behind the name until I read it on their Big Cartel site.  Very touching and I’m so glad they are doing what they can to give back <3

Ready for some of these fabulous polishes?

Fallen Angel:

Fallen Angel is a gorgeous holographic polish with a  black base and pink to purple to blue multichrome glitters scattered within.  Everyone needs this polish!  I used 2 coats with a top coat for this photo!

Divine Angel:

Divine Angel is a holographic light blue base with a green shift to it.  Very strong gold tones to this as well.  Unique polish – love the colors!  I needed 3 coats for full opacity.

Risen Angel:

Risen Angel is a deep plum holographic polish and is also my favorite of the collection!  I needed 3 coats for this photo.  I’m also going to need a full size bottle!

Arch Angel:

Arch Angel is another beauty.  This is a lilac base with light greenish gold shimmery flakes mixed in.  I used 3 coats for this photo and a top coat.

I am really impressed with this collection and think these colors are beautiful!  I have no application issues with any of them and have plans of picking up a few full sized ones soon!

You can find Above The Curve on Etsy as well as on Big Cartel

Full Size Polish retails for $9.00

Mini Polish retails for $4.50

Make sure you check out Above The Curve on Facebook as well!  Both Angel and Shawn are very active on their page and welcome any questions or comments you may have!

So what did you think?  Will you be picking up any Above the Curve polishes? Any polishes you currently own by them that I absolutely HAVE to have?  I’d love to hear about it!

Hey Lisa thanks a bunch! This has been one crazy ride so far from creating to get Angels smiles to this I have made a ton of polish and hear things like that reminds me of OPI this or it reminds me of so and so that.Myself am clueless and and I don’t follow others store or indie as I want them to be mine,Like Urkel of Family Matters”Did I do thatttttt!”We have been here a short time and hearing other indies are adding cause lines to there brands and think we may have set a standard in being transparent about donations and sales so you can see your dollar at work.We hope for a great 2013 and have 5 months of polish to share also if ya want the other two unreleased polish to this line we can send them out. Thanks for your support with out this great community we couldn’t do this.Todate we have raised 76.00 for breast cancer, over 300 for Shriners before this week and lasts donations not bad for a new brand and thanks to the folks who have made us feel so welcome.Shawn and Angel ATC
